Called Time For A Sub, the real-time activation is inspired by the substitution gesture that signals a player change during a match. Instead of simply marking a tactical switch on the pitch, Subway Singapore is transforming these moments into opportunities for fans to score rewards while watching selected football matches.
During matches announced through Subway Singapore’s Instagram Stories, fans can follow the action live and keep an eye on the brand’s social media updates. Whenever a substitution gesture appears during the game, Subway Singapore will immediately post a “Time For A Sub” Story. The first 22 fans who respond via direct message will receive buy one get one free Sub vouchers that can be redeemed at participating restaurants across Singapore.
The campaign is designed to connect Subway’s brand identity with the excitement of live football, while reinforcing its focus on freshness and value. By linking the concept of substitutions on the field with its signature Subs, the brand is creating a fun and interactive way for fans to engage with matches throughout the season.
Since launching on 12 June 2026, Time For A Sub has already rewarded fans through four substitution moments across six matches, resulting in 88 buy-one-get-one free Sub vouchers being given away. More opportunities are expected as the football season continues, with additional match moments set to be announced in the coming weeks.
