adidas is bringing together the worlds of football and golf with the launch of the limited edition CODECHAOS Messi, the brand’s first-ever golf shoe inspired by football icon Lionel Messi. Released in celebration of Messi and Argentina’s title defence at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the special edition footwear will be available from 17 June at 2pm via the adidas website and adidas app, while stocks last.
The CODECHAOS Messi combines design elements from Messi’s iconic El Último Tango F50.6 TUNIT football boot with adidas’ popular CODECHAOS golf shoe, creating a unique crossover that bridges the gap between the football pitch and the golf course.
While drawing inspiration from one of Messi’s most recognisable football boots, the shoe has been engineered specifically for golfers. Its microfiber leather upper incorporates golf-focused performance features, including a new AXISLOCK stabiliser in the heel and midfoot designed to enhance stability and control during play.
The outsole features adidas’ TWISTGRIP traction system, which is designed to provide maximum grip and added stability throughout the golf swing. For comfort, the shoe is equipped with full-length BOOST cushioning, delivering responsive energy return and support on the course.
The limited-edition release arrives in an Argentina-inspired colourway featuring ivory, gold and sky blue tones, paying tribute to Messi’s national team. The legendary Messi logo is prominently featured on both the tongue and sock liner, while each pair comes in premium packaging adorned with the Messi and CODECHAOS logos.
