ASUS Unveils ExpertBook Ultra, Bringing AI Power, Enterprise Security and Extreme Portability to Modern Professionals

ASUS has introduced the new ASUS ExpertBook Ultra, its latest flagship business laptop designed to meet the growing demands of AI powered workflows, enterprise productivity and highly mobile workstyles. Unveiled at the Next Enterprise Summit 2026 attended by more than 1,000 industry leaders, enterprise partners and technology professionals, the device is being launched across Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand as ASUS’ most advanced business notebook to date.

Built around what ASUS describes as a heterogeneous AI computing platform, the ExpertBook Ultra combines a next generation Intel Core Ultra processor, Intel Arc graphics and a dedicated Neural Processing Unit into a single system engineered for modern business users. The laptop is positioned as a premium solution for executives, IT leaders, professionals and organisations looking to leverage AI capabilities without sacrificing mobility, performance or security.

One of the standout features of the ExpertBook Ultra is its remarkably lightweight design. Weighing just 0.99kg and measuring only 10.9mm thin, ASUS says it is the world’s smallest footprint 14-inch laptop. Despite its compact dimensions, the device is built from aerospace grade AZ31B magnesium aluminum alloy, providing durability while remaining significantly lighter than traditional aluminum chassis designs. The laptop is further protected by a Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation surface treatment and nano ceramic coating that delivers enhanced resistance against scratches, smudges and daily wear.

Battery life is another major focus. The ExpertBook Ultra is equipped with a 70Wh battery capable of delivering up to 26 hours of local video playback. ASUS also incorporates a 2S2P battery architecture designed to improve energy efficiency, while fast charging allows the battery to reach 50 percent capacity in around 30 minutes.

Performance is powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra X9 388H Series 3 processor, with an alternative Core Ultra X7 358H option available. The system features a 16-core architecture and is supported by ASUS’ ExpertCool Pro thermal solution, enabling sustained 50W CPU performance even when the laptop is docked with its lid closed. ASUS claims this cooling system significantly outperforms the thermal limits commonly found in competing ultra-portable business laptops.

The integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics, featuring 12 Xe cores, is positioned as another key differentiator. ASUS cites benchmark results showing performance that surpasses some dedicated graphics solutions in certain workloads. Storage also receives a substantial upgrade with a 2TB PCIe Gen 5×4 SSD delivering sequential read speeds of up to 14,090 MB/s, while up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 9600 MT/s ensures smooth performance for AI applications, data analysis and demanding multitasking.

As a Copilot+ PC, the ExpertBook Ultra includes a dedicated NPU capable of 50 TOPS, contributing to a total platform performance of 180 TOPS. This enables AI features such as local content generation, real time translation and video enhancement without relying on cloud processing.

The laptop’s display is equally ambitious. ASUS equips the ExpertBook Ultra with a 14-inch 3K touchscreen featuring Tandem OLED technology, delivering up to 1,400 nits peak HDR brightness and full DCI P3 colour coverage. A Variable Refresh Rate ranging from 30Hz to 120Hz provides smoother scrolling and animations, while a nano etched anti-glare finish reduces reflections and improves visibility in bright environments.

Audio performance is handled by a six speaker Dolby Atmos system featuring dedicated woofers and tweeters powered by smart amplifiers. Combined with AI noise cancelling microphones and VoicePrint technology, the setup is designed to improve communication quality during video conferences and virtual meetings.

Security remains a central pillar of the ExpertBook Ultra. ASUS integrates its ExpertGuardian platform alongside compliance with the NIST SP 800 193 Firmware Resiliency Framework. Hardware protections include a dedicated ASUS Security Processor, dual self-healing BIOS ROMs, a TPM 2.0 chip, Microsoft Pluton architecture and support for Microsoft’s Secured core PC standards. Biometric security is provided through a Match on Chip fingerprint reader and an infrared camera for Windows Hello facial recognition.

Durability has also been prioritised. The ExpertBook Ultra has passed 24 MIL STD 810H military grade testing procedures across 11 categories and undergone 157 additional ASUS validation tests. Features such as a spill resistant keyboard, reinforced I/O ports and long-term business support options are intended to reduce downtime and lower total ownership costs for organisations.

Beyond hardware, ASUS is introducing a range of AI driven software tools through its MyExpert suite. These include AI ExpertMeet for meeting transcription and summaries, Knowledge Hub for natural language searching across local documents, and File Search capabilities that allow users to locate content based on context rather than exact filenames. Additional quality of life features include automatic presence detection, ambient system lighting and flexible USB C charging support.

Sustainability is another focus area. ASUS says the ExpertBook Ultra is certified with EPEAT Climate Gold and is the world’s first laptop to achieve compliance with the European Union’s Product Environmental Footprint requirements, supporting businesses pursuing ESG goals alongside digital transformation initiatives.
