Asia’s leading light festival transforms the city into an interactive playground of movement, light and sound from 5 to 28 June 2026.
i Light Singapore 2026 runs from 5-28 June 2026 daily from 7.30pm to 10.30pm, with admission free for all visitors. Organised by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and presented by UOB, the festival returns to Marina Bay and extends into Raffles Place, transforming both precincts into a vibrant open-air exhibition of light art. This year’s edition features 14 installations under the theme of Movement, where visitors can interact with the works and influence how the lights, sounds and visuals respond in real time.
One of the key highlights is Barbershop Wonderland by Jeon Byeong Sam (South Korea), located at Clifford Square, where 200 rotating barbershop poles light up in motion as visitors approach, reimagining a familiar everyday symbol into a playful, nostalgic installation.
Over at the Breeze Shelters, RESONORA by OSTUDIO x Dearista (Indonesia) transforms real-time city sounds like traffic and conversations into flowing waves of light and colour across suspended fabric, creating an immersive audio-visual experience of urban life.
Nearby at the lawn beside NTUC Centre, Sliced by Encor Studio (Switzerland) offers a contrasting experience with a dark corridor of hanging fabric punctuated by light beams, where visitors’ movement alters the shifting shadows and patterns.
At Event Square, Between Mountains and Seas by Peppercorns (Taiwan) presents a cinematic five-part journey inspired by oceans and landscapes, combining large-scale visuals and soundscapes to reflect on the passage of time and the forces that shape the natural world.
Next to the Red Dot Design Museum, Celebration of Life by DP Design and Yeo Ker Siang (Singapore) features a six-metre interactive cube that reflects visitors’ faces and movements alongside mirrored surfaces and visual motifs contributed by the public, creating a constantly changing portrait of collective identity.
Beyond Marina Bay, the festival also extends its energy into Raffles Place with installations and programmes designed to engage the public in different ways. At WAVE at The Promontory, Drum Prodigy, Singapore’s first inclusive drum school, will host two Community Drum Circles titled Waves of Unity on 6 and 13 June 2026, where participants help activate the installation through percussion, turning rhythm and movement into light.
Festival-goers can also look forward to additional programmes across the precinct, including live graffiti showcases by DPLMT on 6 and 19 June 2026 at Infinite Graffiti, which bring the theme of Movement to life through street art and live creation.
On 27 June 2026, Submersion at The Promontory offers a guided vinyasa yoga session paired with live DJ soundscapes, creating a meditative experience in the middle of the city. The fan-favourite Silent Disco Parade also returns on 20 June 2026, starting from ArtScience Museum and ending at The Promontory, with participants dancing through the illuminated waterfront wearing wireless headphones.
Food and music remain a core part of the experience at GastroBeats, the festival village located right beside i Light Singapore at Bayfront Event Space. Returning for its fifth edition from 5 to 28 June 2026, GastroBeats brings together over 40 F&B vendors alongside live music performances, brand activations and interactive zones, making it a lively social hub where visitors can eat, drink and unwind by the Marina Bay waterfront.
