The Great Eastern Women’s Run (GEWR) returns for its 20th edition on 1 November at The Kallang, with registration officially opening today as Singapore’s only all women’s run celebrates two decades of empowering women through fitness, community and purpose.

The registration launch was officiated by Goh Hanyan, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, alongside Greg Hingston, Group Chief Executive Officer of Great Eastern. The milestone event also featured a ceremonial torch relay at Guoco Tower Urban Park, where 20 runners from past editions carried the torch in tribute to the run’s history and its community of participants.
This year’s theme, “20 Years, Limitless”, highlights stories of strength, resilience and courage across generations of women. As part of the celebrations, 20 selected participants will be featured on the official GEWR Instagram account, sharing their personal running journeys and experiences with the community.
As one of the largest all women’s runs in Asia, GEWR has built a strong platform over the years that brings together women of all ages and backgrounds. The 2026 edition continues this tradition while placing a stronger emphasis on inspiration and long-term impact.

In conjunction with the anniversary, Great Eastern Cares has launched a fundraising campaign running from 20 May to 3 October 2026 to support two beneficiaries, Daughters Of Tomorrow and Singapore Cancer Society, through Community Chest. Great Eastern has pledged $20,000 to kickstart the initiative, with an additional $20 from every adult race slot sold contributing to the fund. Employees, financial representatives and corporate partners will also take part as fundraisers to expand community participation.
Funds raised will go towards Daughters Of Tomorrow’s job readiness programmes, which aim to improve employability for vulnerable women, as well as Singapore Cancer Society’s initiatives supporting cancer survivors in their recovery journeys.
GEWR 2026 will feature seven race categories designed to cater to different fitness levels and life stages. These include the 21.1km half marathon Elite and Open categories, a 10km team category for tertiary students, a 10km open run, a 5km open run, a 2km Mummy and Me run for women with daughters aged five to 12, and a 100m Princess Dash for girls aged three to six.
Participants will receive an Adidas race tee and carry all bag, along with 20th edition commemorative items including a finisher medal that doubles as a locket mirror and an Anya Active run belt. Younger participants in the family categories will also receive a Roarie themed kids backpack featuring Great Eastern’s mascot.
At the launch event, the first 118 women in the physical registration queue wearing GEWR tees received complimentary race slots, while the first 500 registrants each received a goodie bag worth S$130.

Registration for the Great Eastern Women’s Run is now open at the official website, while donations for the Reach for Great fundraising campaign.
