GOCHU is offering families a different kind of Mother’s Day celebration this year with a specially curated Korean dining experience centred around oakwood flame grilled barbecue, comforting Korean dishes and a tranquil cave inspired setting.

Positioned as an escape from crowded malls and typical festive menus, GOCHU’s Mother’s Day experience focuses on slowing down and spending quality time together over a shared Korean feast. The restaurant’s interior features textured stone walls, soft ambient lighting and views of surrounding greenery, creating a calm atmosphere that complements the aroma of oakwood grilled meats and traditional Korean comfort food.
At the heart of the celebration is the “Mother in the Cave” Set Menu, priced at S$199++ per set. Designed for sharing, the menu brings together several of GOCHU’s signature dishes including appetisers such as Pollock Fish and Gochu Banchan, alongside a choice of premium barbecue platters featuring either Dry Aged Pork Collar and Pork Ribs or Woodae Galbi and Boneless Short Rib.
The set also includes shareable dishes such as Deep Fried Chili Peppers and Potato Pancake with Parmesan Cheese, both inspired by Korean market style comfort food. The Deep Fried Chili Peppers, one of GOCHU’s signature dishes, features large green chillies stuffed with minced pork, tofu and vegetables before being fried until crispy.
For mains, diners can choose between Galbitang, a slow simmered beef short rib soup with a clean savoury broth, or Haejangguk, a rich and hearty Korean beef soup traditionally enjoyed for its comforting qualities. The meal is rounded off with a choice of Chili Pickle Noodles or Black Soybean Cold Noodles and concludes with gelato ice cream for dessert.
GOCHU’s dining concept centres around oakwood flame grilling, using carefully selected premium oakwood to create high heat and a subtle smoky aroma that enhances the flavour of the meats. The restaurant says the method brings a deeper level of flavour compared to conventional Korean barbecue techniques.
Beyond its barbecue offerings, GOCHU also highlights traditional Korean dishes such as Ppyeo Jjim, Haejangguk and Black Soybean Noodles, showcasing the diversity of Korean home style cuisine. The kitchen is led by an experienced Korean chef with international teaching experience, with a focus on authentic preparation methods and imported Korean ingredients.
The cave inspired dining concept, combined with oakwood grilled meats and comforting Korean dishes, positions GOCHU as a distinctive dining destination for families looking to celebrate Mother’s Day in a more intimate and relaxed setting.
