Located at Lot G17 within Subang SkyPark, the new outlet represents Encik Tan’s first expansion into Malaysia following the brand’s network of 21 outlets in Singapore and one in Jakarta. The move reflects the company’s broader regional ambitions while bringing its accessible Halal Chinese hawker fare concept to Malaysian diners.

The Malaysia outlet is currently undergoing Halal certification in line with Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia requirements, with all dishes prepared using Halal-certified ingredients. The approach aims to provide Muslim consumers with greater confidence when enjoying familiar Chinese hawker style meals in an accessible setting.

Spanning around 1,800 square feet, the outlet seats up to 50 diners and features a contemporary interior with orange and white accents, banquette seating, armchairs and an open ordering counter. Designed to cater to travellers, airport staff and nearby residents, the restaurant operates daily from 6.30am to 10.30pm.

The Subang SkyPark location was selected as a strategic entry point for the brand, offering exposure to a steady flow of travellers and everyday diners. Encik Tan says the location also allows the company to refine its offerings in a high traffic environment that reflects its positioning as a convenient go to option for daily meals.

The Malaysian expansion is being carried out in partnership with Bake With Yen, one of Malaysia’s largest baking supplies retailers with more than 30 years of experience serving the food and hospitality industry. The collaboration is expected to support the brand’s long-term scalability in Malaysia.

Looking ahead, Encik Tan plans to continue expanding across Southeast Asia, with future markets including Australia and the United Kingdom under consideration. The brand is also exploring ready to eat product formats as part of its growth strategy.

The menu at the new outlet features familiar Chinese hawker favourites including Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice priced at RM15, Fishball Noodles at RM13, Prawn Hokkien Mee at RM18, Claypot Chicken Rice at RM18 and Signature Noodles at RM20.

Since launching in 2014, Encik Tan has built a loyal following in Singapore, with more than 10 million bowls of Fishball Noodles and over 1.5 million plates of Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice sold to date.

To celebrate its Malaysian debut, the outlet is running a limited promotion from 7 to 8 May 2026, offering a complimentary drink with every meal purchase. Diners can choose from Iced Rose Syrup, Iced Blueberry or Iced Calamansi, each valued at RM6. The promotion is available to passengers presenting a valid boarding pass and airport staff with a valid staff pass, limited to one redemption per person.
