RIMOWA and Faber-Castell have teamed up to create the RIMOWA x Faber-Castell Artist Case, a limited-edition collection that brings together two long established German brands and celebrates creativity, craftsmanship and artistic expression.
Designed for artists and creative enthusiasts, the Artist Case in Silver combines RIMOWA’s signature anodised aluminium construction with a comprehensive selection of Faber-Castell drawing instruments. The collaboration reflects the brands’ shared focus on craftsmanship and their German heritage.
Founded in 1761, Faber-Castell is marking its 265th anniversary this year. The ninth-generation family-owned company has produced writing and drawing instruments used by artists for generations.
The RIMOWA x Faber-Castell Artist Case is crafted at RIMOWA’s historic factory in Cologne using the Maison’s premium anodised aluminium. The design draws inspiration from RIMOWA’s Classic collection, featuring its distinctive aluminium exterior and leather handle.
Inside, the case contains a complete set of drawing tools covering different stages of the creative process, from initial sketches and composition to detailed colour work. The collection includes co-branded grooved 2B graphite pencils inspired by RIMOWA’s signature design.
The set also features 120 Faber-Castell Polychromos colour pencils. Known for their rich pigment concentration and oil-based cores, the pencils are designed to provide smooth and consistent application while maintaining vibrant and stable colours.
A RIMOWA branded platinum plated sharpener and eraser complete the collection.
The anodised aluminium exterior is also designed to change naturally over time, developing a patina through use. This characteristic is intended to allow the case to gradually reflect the experiences and creative journey of its owner.
The RIMOWA x Faber-Castell Artist Case in Silver is priced at S$4,160 and comes with a two-year guarantee. It will be available from 17 September 2026 at RIMOWA stores worldwide and through its online store.
The Artist Case will also be available at Faber-Castell retail stores in Germany, as well as through its online stores in Austria, France, Germany and Italy.
