The announcement further strengthens Sentosa Golf Club’s position as a major tournament venue in Asia. Earlier this year, the Singapore golf club hosted three major championships, including the returning Singapore Open, over an eight-week period.

The continued involvement of the DP World Tour and Asian Tour highlights Sentosa’s reputation as a championship venue. The club is recognised internationally for its course conditioning, Tournament Ready 365 (TR365) agronomy philosophy and sustainability programme, which focuses on responsible golf course management and maintenance.

The 2027 Singapore Open will also add another chapter to Sentosa’s long history with the tournament. The Singapore Open first made its debut at The Serapong on the Asian Tour in 2005, when Adam Scott claimed the first of his three titles at the event. From 2009 to 2012, the tournament was co-sanctioned by the European Tour and Asian Tour.

Deutsche Bank will serve as the marquee sponsor of the 2027 event, marking the bank’s return to top-level golf tournament sponsorship. Deutsche Bank has previously supported individual events on both the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour.

The announcement follows a tripartite agreement revealed last month between the DP World Tour, Asian Tour and other stakeholders to create additional commercial and playing opportunities. The partnership will establish pathways for leading Asian Tour members, with playing rights beginning from the 2027 DP World Tour season.

The agreement will also enable selected tournaments to be co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and Asian Tour from 2027 onwards. The Deutsche Bank Singapore Open at Sentosa Golf Club will be among the events to benefit from this new collaboration.

The 2027 tournament is set to bring together leading players from both tours at The Serapong, continuing the Singapore Open’s long association with international professional golf and reinforcing Sentosa Golf Club’s role on the global tournament circuit.
