Scream for Cheese and You Could Win A Whole Year of Free Pepper Lunch

Pepper Lunch is bringing back its Cheeeeesy Overload following strong demand, after the dish sold more than 10,000 plates monthly during its initial launch. The limited-time return runs from 1 May to 30 June 2026 at all Pepper Lunch Express outlets across Singapore.

At the heart of this comeback is the same indulgent appeal that made it popular in the first place. Diners can choose between two options, the Chicken N’ Cheese with Brown Sauce ($9.50) and the OG Beef N’ Cheese with Brown Sauce ($9.50). Both arrive on Pepper Lunch’s signature sizzling hotplate, layered with a generous amount of melted cheese that slowly blends into the meat and rice as it cooks.

The beef option leans richer and more robust, with thinly sliced beef soaking up the brand’s signature brown sauce for a deeper savoury flavour.

The chicken version offers a slightly lighter profile, with tender pieces that pair well with the creamy cheese without feeling too heavy. For those who prefer a more indulgent finish, an extra portion of cheese can be added for $1.

Part of the experience lies in cooking the dish yourself. The recommended method starts with spreading margarine over the meat before letting it sear on the hotplate, followed by cooking the vegetables. The meat can then be dipped into the brown sauce and wrapped in the melted cheese, creating a balance of savoury, creamy and slightly smoky flavours in each bite.

Beyond the food, Pepper Lunch is also adding a fun on-ground activation with its Scream Cheeeeese Challenge, happening from 27 April to 10 May at Plaza Singapura. Participants simply have to hold their longest “cheeeeeese”, with the top performer walking away with a one-year supply of Pepper Rice, easily the highlight of the campaign.

Not to fret if you’re not a screamer! All participants will receive a complimentary meat add-on, redeemable by 13 May, so it’s worth giving it a shot!
