The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced the return of the NBA Rising Stars Invitational, set to take place in Singapore from June 22 to June 28, 2026. Now in its second year, the high-school basketball tournament will once again be hosted at the OCBC Arena, bringing together top youth talent from across the Asia-Pacific region.

Organised in collaboration with Sport Singapore (SportSG) and the Singapore Tourism Board, the week-long event will feature 12 boys’ teams and 12 girls’ teams made up of players aged 18 and under. Teams will compete in a round-robin format before advancing to knockout stages.
Star Power and Youth Development
Headlining this year’s event are NBA champion Jeremy Lin and WNBA champion Lauren Jackson, who will engage with participants throughout the tournament. Additional current and former NBA players are expected to join and will be announced closer to the event.
Participating teams will be selected through collaborations with national basketball federations and leagues, as well as qualifying tournaments held in key cities including Bangkok, Melbourne, Taipei, and Tokyo. As the host nation, Singapore will field two teams in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions.
Beyond the Court
More than just a competition, the NBA Rising Stars Invitational aims to provide a holistic development experience. Players will take part in skill-building sessions, social impact initiatives, and cultural exchange activities designed to foster connections beyond basketball.
Standout performers will also gain opportunities to attend future NBA development camps, showcases, and training programs, offering a potential pathway to higher levels of the sport.
Fan Experiences and Community Engagement
Fans can look forward to a variety of activities alongside the tournament, including meet-and-greet sessions with players, basketball clinics, community outreach programs, and interactive fan experiences. The event will also feature live entertainment, photo opportunities, and displays of official NBA memorabilia.
Supported by SportSG, STB, and the Karim Family Foundation, more details about participating teams, ticket sales, and event partners will be released in the coming months.
