Ian and Marc Fernando enter the partnership with an impressive track record.

In November 2025, the duo clinched 1st place in their age group at HYROX Singapore Expo, completing the Men’s Doubles race in a standout 57:09. Their win capped off a breakthrough year; earlier in June 2025, they had already secured a 2nd-place finish in their category at another HYROX event.

For Ian, who placed second in his very first HYROX race, reaching the top of the podium in under a year reflects the disciplined and competitive mindset that defines his approach to hybrid fitness. Together, the Fernando brothers embody the strength, strategy, and synergy of top-level HYROX athletes.

Ria Chen: The Cross-Border Competitor

Rounding out PUMA Singapore’s 2026 ambassador lineup is Ria Chen, one of Singapore’s most widely travelled HYROX athletes.

Ria’s HYROX journey began in 2024 at HYROX Singapore, where she entered the Women’s Open and Mixed Relay simply hoping to finish and have fun, and that fun turned into a full-fledged racing career. Since then, she has completed 12 HYROX races across Singapore, Taipei, Bangkok and other cities.

In 2025 alone, Ria secured:

  • 2× Gold Medals in Team Relay Women U40 (HYROX Taipei & HYROX Asia Championships)
  • 2× Silver Medals (HYROX Bangkok & HYROX Singapore)

Her ability to consistently perform in new environments — and her love for travelling to races — has made her one of the region’s most recognisable hybrid competitors.

Ria’s PUMA journey began with the PUMA Deviate Nitro, her go-to shoe for energy return and stability. By 2025, she was racing in the Deviate Nitro Elite, saying PUMA has “seen her through hybrid infancy.”

Beyond Competition: Building a Regional HYROX Community

What unites Ian, Marc and Ria is a shared belief that HYROX is more than a race, it’s a growing movement.

The Fernando brothers extend their passion into coaching, helping new athletes prepare for their HYROX journeys. Meanwhile, Ria continues to inspire through her international race calendar, showcasing the sport’s global appeal.
