The Body Shop Celebrates 50 Years of Beauty, Activism and Rebellion With Global and Singapore Festivities

The Body Shop marks a major milestone in 2026 as the iconic British beauty brand celebrates 50 years of shaping culture, challenging norms and championing ethical beauty. Since opening its first store in 1976, the brand has become a global trailblazer known for its activism, cruelty-free formulas and unwavering commitment to social and environmental change.

On 27 March, The Body Shop will commemorate its golden anniversary with its worldwide community, honouring five decades of beauty with purpose while unveiling a fresh vision for the future.

A Year of Activations, Launches and a Renewed Mission

Over the coming months, The Body Shop will be rolling out major announcements, special events and new product launches as part of a year-long celebration. At the heart of the festivities is Rebellious by Nature, a bold new brand platform that pays tribute to the spirited, joyful and nature-powered movement The Body Shop has nurtured for generations.

As it enters the next chapter, the brand reaffirms its commitment to three core impact pillars:

  • Empowering women and girls through education, opportunity and safety
  • Sustainability and nature preservation, with deepened Community Fair Trade partnerships
  • Joy, self-care and wellbeing, reinforcing beauty as a source of empowerment
