Porsche and Smeg have joined forces to launch a limited-edition collection of kitchen appliances, blending automotive heritage with Italian design and modern lifestyle functionality. The collaboration introduces a curated range of products that merge performance-inspired aesthetics with everyday home appliances, aimed at both design enthusiasts and motorsport fans.
The Porsche x Smeg collection includes several signature appliances such as the FAB28 refrigerator, bean-to-cup coffee machine, toaster, kettle, and blender, each infused with Porsche-inspired styling cues and Smeg’s iconic retro design language.
The partnership brings together two globally recognised brands known for their commitment to precision engineering, craftsmanship, and timeless design. By combining Porsche’s motorsport legacy with Smeg’s distinctive 1950s-inspired appliances, the collection offers a unique crossover between automotive prestige and home lifestyle products.
The collection also reflects the shared philosophy of both brands: creating objects that balance performance, functionality, and design excellence.
At the heart of the collection is a limited-edition series inspired by the legendary Porsche 917 KH, the race car that secured Porsche’s first overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970.
Driven by Hans Herrmann and Richard Attwood, the car’s iconic Salzburg livery now inspires two standout appliances in the collection: a limited-edition FAB28 fridge and a bean-to-cup coffee machine. Both are finished in 917 Salzburg Red and limited to 1,970 individually numbered units worldwide, commemorating the historic victory.
The appliances feature authentic motorsport details, including the number 23 racing roundel, Porsche branding, and matte black accents that echo the design elements of the legendary race car.
Beyond the Le Mans tribute pieces, the collaboration introduces two additional design lines finished in Carrara White and Shade Green, colours associated with Porsche’s distinctive palette.
These appliances include the iconic Smeg FAB28 Refrigerator alongside matching toasters, kettles, and blenders. Each piece features subtle Porsche design cues such as signature striping, matte black accents, and sculpted silhouettes, merging Smeg’s vintage-inspired look with Porsche’s minimalist performance aesthetic.
The FAB28 fridge, for example, offers 270 litres of refrigeration capacity and a 26-litre freezer, while incorporating design elements inspired by the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, including specially proportioned handles and sleek exterior striping.
While the appliances emphasise design, they also deliver practical functionality for everyday use. The bean-to-cup coffee machine features an integrated grinder for freshly ground coffee, while the toaster offers six browning levels and multiple functions including reheating, defrosting, and bagel mode.
The kettle comes with a 1.7-litre capacity, a soft-opening lid, removable limescale filter, and automatic shut-off at 100°C. Meanwhile, the blender includes four manual speeds, pre-set programs such as smoothie and ice-crush modes, and an auto-clean function for easier maintenance.
The Porsche x Smeg collection is now available through Smeg flagship stores and authorised dealers, as well as Porsche Design shops, selected Porsche Centres, and both brands’ official online platforms. Selected design and concept stores will also carry the exclusive collection.
