Singapore is so hot and humid that it really takes a toll on your skin. Some days my face feels oily by noon, other days it’s dry and tight, and sometimes it’s just super sensitive after treatments like lasers or microneedling. Finding skincare that actually works in this weather has always been a challenge.
I recently tried three products from Skinscape, a homegrown Singapore brand, and they’ve quickly become staples in my routine.
I start my routine with the Gentle Reset Cleanser.
It has a cushiony, soft texture that makes washing my face feel like part of self-care. I find it removes impurities, sunscreen, and light makeup without leaving my skin tight or stripped. The ceramide complex and hydrating ingredients help keep my skin balanced, which is crucial for humid Singapore days where skin can get oily on the surface but still be dehydrated underneath.
After cleansing, I apply the Cloudskin Serum.
This lightweight serum hydrates without adding shine, which I love because my skin often feels oily in the afternoon. The combination of hyaluronic acid, cica, chamomile, and green tea helps calm my skin, especially after treatments. I noticed my skin feels more stable and less reactive even on days when I’m out in the heat or moving between air-conditioned spaces.
At night, I finish with the Retinol Renewal serum.
The Advanced Dual-Retinol Complex gently renews my skin without irritation, and the barrier-supportive ingredients make it suitable for treatment-active skin. I feel like my skin texture has improved over the past few weeks and my overall tone looks more even. It’s a gentle yet effective step that fits perfectly into a climate where strong actives can sometimes overstimulate.
The packaging is definitely also a plus point. The soft pink, minimalist design looks great on my bathroom shelf and adds a little aesthetic lift to my routine. Supporting a local brand is a bonus too. Overall, this trio works together to keep my skin calm, hydrated, and resilient despite the humidity and heat. It’s a routine I feel confident sticking to every day.
