Singapore’s spirit of generosity reached new heights in 2025, with the nation’s official digital giving platform giving.sg recording a record-breaking S$104.9 million in donations over the year. Spanning from 1 January to 31 December 2025, the total marked a 21 per cent increase from 2024 and represents the highest annual amount raised on the platform since its launch in 2015.
The milestone was largely driven by the momentum of SG60 celebrations, which inspired widespread participation from individuals, corporations, and communities across the country.
A major contributor to the strong performance was The Great Singapore Give 2025, a three-month nationwide season of giving that served as the grand finale of SG60. Running from 1 October to 31 December 2025, the campaign featured over 300 digital and physical activations and raised more than S$47.7 million, surpassing the S$42 million raised during the same period in 2024.
Beyond fundraising, the campaign also mobilised more than 30,000 employee volunteers through partnerships with leading corporations such as CapitaLand, Micron, Standard Chartered Bank, and UOB, highlighting the growing role of corporate participation in Singapore’s giving ecosystem.
The festive year-end period saw an unprecedented surge in donations. In December 2025 alone, giving.sg received over S$32.3 million, making it the platform’s highest-performing month on record. The momentum peaked on 31 December 2025, when S$4.7 million was donated in a single day, the strongest daily performance in giving.sg’s history.
This year-end success was further amplified through a partnership between the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) and MediaCorp. MediaCorp was recognised as a Champion of Good, the highest accolade under NVPC’s Company of Good Recognition System, for its commitment to purpose and impact across People, Society, Governance, Environment, and Economic dimensions. The collaboration included media initiatives such as the flagship countdown event “Let’s Celebrate 2026”, which integrated calls to give via giving.sg during the nationwide broadcast on 31 December.
Backed by the Ministry of Culture, Community & Youth, giving.sg continues to serve as a central fundraising and outreach platform for charitable causes nationwide. In 2025, the top three causes that resonated most with donors were Social Service and Welfare, Community Development, and Healthcare.
These results were shared by Tony Soh at the Institute of Policy Studies’ Singapore Perspectives conference on 26 January 2026, as part of discussions on how volunteerism and philanthropy can help build a stronger “We First” society.
The record-breaking performance in 2025 underscores the growing impact of technology-enabled giving in Singapore. With over 700 registered charities on the platform, giving.sg continues to make philanthropy more accessible by connecting donors to causes they care about.
