From the moment you step inside Gardens by the Bay’s Flower Dome, fragrance leads the way. Lilytopia (百合乌托邦) fills the cooled conservatory with 10,000 perfumed lilies, turning Singapore’s iconic garden into a head-turning, nose-tickling slice of Venice—complete with gondolas, canals, and Carnival masks.
A Blooming Tribute to 60 Years of Singapore–Italy Friendship

Presented with the Embassy of Italy to mark six decades of diplomatic ties, Lilytopia is Gardens by the Bay’s largest lily display ever:
- 50+ lily varieties in vivid yellows, fiery oranges, magenta-rimmed whites, and snow-pure doubles that look more like roses (watch for ‘Alanno’ and ‘Snow World’ roselilies).
- 20+ cultivars grown in-house by Flower Dome horticulturists—a first for the garden, who nursed bulbs through precise temperature swings to time every bloom.
- A supporting cast of hydrangeas, calla lilies, and cannas painting the Venetian “waterways” blue and gold.
Venice, Re-imagined in Flowers

- Canal Walk – Blue hydrangeas stand in for shimmering water, flanked by pastel “shopfronts” and a classic gondola.
- St Mark’s Square – Towering arches drip with carnival masks under a scaled-down Campanile bell tower.
- Nonna’s Kitchen – Copper pots, wood-fired oven, and the comforting glow of an Italian family kitchen.
- Taste of Italy – A limoncello stand dressed in Amalfi stripes, oak wine barrels evoking hillside vineyards, and showcases of Burano lace and Murano glass.
Outside the dome, the photo exhibition “ITALY–SINGAPORE: 60 Years of Friendship” charts the two nations’ shared journey in 60 striking images.
