RSP Celebrates 20 Years of Design Innovation in China, Pledges Deeper Commitments to Green Future

RSP commemorates its 20-year anniversary in China with renewed vigor towards designing for a greener tomorrow.

From its inception, RSP has been at the forefront of pioneering design solutions that prioritize both human well-being and environmental stewardship. This commitment was further underscored as the company celebrated its milestone anniversary by co-organizing the Shanghai-Singapore Ecological Forum, held amidst the stunning backdrop of the Shanghai International Flower Show on April 18, 2024, at Shanghai Westbund.

In collaboration with Shanghai government agencies and the Singapore Green Construction Development Alliance, RSP orchestrated the forum titled “The Future of Urban Ecology.” The event served as a platform for sharing insights and fostering cooperation between Singapore and Shanghai in the realm of sustainable urban development. Notable participants included representatives from the National Parks Board of Singapore and Gardens by the Bay, who showcased Singapore’s innovative “City in Nature” model.

The significance of RSP’s contribution to China’s architectural landscape was duly recognized during the flower show’s opening ceremony. Mr. Beh Swee Chiew, CEO of RSP, delivered an impassioned speech, highlighting the company’s enduring commitment to designing spaces that prioritize the well-being of both people and the planet.

As one of the earliest Singaporean companies to venture into China, RSP has left an indelible mark on the country’s urban fabric, having completed over 500 projects spanning 40 cities. This milestone underscores the strong synergy between Singapore and China in fostering business and cultural exchange.

Looking ahead, RSP remains committed to pushing the boundaries of design innovation. By melding global design perspectives with localized insights, the company aims to address complex challenges through innovative solutions. This includes harnessing emerging technologies such as the metaverse and artificial intelligence to create smarter, more sustainable spaces that are tailored to the needs of inhabitants. In China, RSP’s focus areas encompass urban renewal, cultural development, sports and tourism planning, and Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), all aimed at shaping cities of the future that are intelligent, energy-efficient, and environmentally sustainable.
