‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen’ Debuts Globally at Singapore Exhibition

The enchanting world of Disney comes alive at the Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands, with the grand opening of the highly-anticipated Immersive Disney Animation exhibition. Presented by Base Entertainment Asia in collaboration with Walt Disney Animation Studios, the exhibition made its Southeast Asia premiere on 18 November 2023, coinciding with a double celebration—the premiere of “Let It Go” from Frozen and the 95th birthday of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

A Magical Journey Through 100 Years of Disney

Immersive Disney Animation invites visitors on a spellbinding 90-minute journey through the evolution of Disney’s animated classics. The exhibition unfolds in three captivating sections, each offering a unique perspective on the artistry, technology, and creativity that define Disney’s storytelling magic.

Exhibit Area 1: Disney Through the Ages

The adventure begins in Exhibit Area 1, where guests are welcomed by a mesmerizing display of all 62 film posters spanning a century of Disney’s animated masterpieces. Rare maquettes of beloved Disney characters and cherished artifacts from the Walt Disney Animation Research Library pay homage to the iconic history of Walt Disney. Towering over the exhibit is a 3.6 meters tall Mickey Mouse, offering insights into the origins of Disney’s enchanting tales.

Exhibit Area 2: Behind-the-Scenes Magic

In Exhibit Area 2, visitors are taken deeper into the heart of the exhibition for a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the artistry and creativity that bring Disney’s sketches to life. Witness the evolution of favorite Disney scenes, characters, and songs, explore an animator’s desk showcasing character creation time-lapses, and get introduced to the talented animators behind the Disney legacy. The section promises a unique and engaging experience for all Disney enthusiasts.

Global Cinematic Landscapes

The exhibition also highlights the global breadth of Disney’s cinematic landscapes, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the various settings that inspired cherished stories.
