From breathtaking fireworks and inspiring light projections to exhilarating attractions and live performances, the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2024 is set to be the ultimate celebration.
As December unfolds, Singaporeans can anticipate a mesmerizing display of artisanal fireworks that will illuminate the sky over Marina Bay. The highly-anticipated New Year’s Eve fireworks will take center stage, launching from a central location to offer a captivating viewing experience for spectators all around the Bay. Produced by the team behind STAR ISLAND, last year’s crowd-pleasing fireworks musical, this year’s fireworks will unfold across three chapters, telling a story of reflection, hope, and new beginnings.
Choreographed to perfection, the fireworks will pay tribute to the challenges and triumphs of the past year, herald the promise of new beginnings, and culminate in a grand finale celebrating the unyielding spirit of Singaporeans. The immersive experience will feature artisanal fireworks that change color as they burst into rings of different hues, accompanied by specially curated music played through speakers around the Bay.
The excitement doesn’t stop with the fireworks! Throughout December, the Marina Bay area will be buzzing with festive cheer and spirit, offering a plethora of exciting programs and activities for all to enjoy.
Presented in partnership with The Majurity Trust, Brightening Lives is a captivating series of light projection shows from December 26 to December 31. Revellers can feast their eyes on inspiring light projection artworks on iconic Marina Bay landmarks, including The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, the Merlion, and the ArtScience Museum. Based on original drawings by talented students, these projections depict stories of hope, empowerment, and community resilience.
For the adrenaline junkies, TurboCharged is a new immersive go-kart arena in the heart of the city, running from December 14 to December 31. Attendees can enjoy action-packed races against the iconic Marina Bay skyline, with the rooftop deck providing a scenic spot to watch the fireworks. The circuit will feature refreshment stalls for both drivers and spectators.
From December 9 to January 21, Asia’s largest touring pop-up winter playground, Ice Magic: Winter Wonderland, will transform the Bayfront Event Space. With a taller snow slope, a dual-lane ice slide, family-friendly rides, majestic ice sculptures, and more, it’s the perfect spot to experience the magic of winter in Singapore.
The Promontory will come alive with Mediacorp’s annual countdown concert, Let’s Celebrate 2024, on New Year’s Eve. Themed “Hit Parade,” the concert features an exciting line-up of performances, a live DJ segment, delectable food and beverages, and carnival games with attractive prizes. The countdown concert will also be broadcasted on various platforms for those who can’t make it in person.
Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay presents Come Together, a series of free performances happening throughout December 2023. Fast-rising musicians from Singapore will grace the DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre and Esplanade Concourse, bringing a mix of music and joy to the audience.
