OPPO recently announced a major software update that will be available for the Find N2 Flip to further enhance the functionality of its cover display.
The new Spotify widget, jointly developed by OPPO and Spotify exclusively for the Find N2 Flip, allows you to enjoy full play control, like your songs with the Heart button and get content recommendations, all without unfolding your device.
A custom-built Speech-to-Text quick reply feature will also be available with the update, and this is accessible through the cover screen when you receive a message. All apps that enable quick replies will support Speech-to-Text, including WhatsApp, Messenger and messages from Google, Telegram and LINE.
OPPO Find N2 Flip Production Line
OPPO has ten smart manufacturing centres worldwide, located in China, India, Indonesia, Algeria, Bangladesh, and Turkey.
The Find N2 Flip production line is also known as OPPO’s most advanced production line. The Find N2 Flip production line is 25 metres longer than other flagship product lines and it includes both the assembly process and the testing process. OPPO Find N2 Flip requires a total of 170 production processes, 40 processes more than the production of Find X6 Pro due to the pre-processing and testing process of the innovative hinge parts and folding screen.
The production line can produce about 3,000 Find N2 Flips per day, an average of five units per minute. In the next five years, OPPO will continue to increase its investment in production and manufacturing by 4 billion RMB to further improve the manufacturing process, product quality, labour efficiency and green capabilities of their self-built factories.
New Standard in Reliability
The Quality Engineer (QE) Reliability Lab focuses on the functional design of the product and repeatedly conducts acceptance tests to ensure that the various engineering designs of the product meet OPPO’s product testing standards and the general standards of the country as well as the industry where the target market is located.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip, for example, had more than 1,000 quality inspections on the hinges, screen and structures. OPPO also used more than 3000 Find N2 Flip prototypes for testing, and the longest single test lasted for more than 100 days.
As a vertically folding product, Find N2 Flip not only needs to pass the general tests for bar-type mobile phones but also an exclusive test plan by the QE lab for the different folding and user usage scenarios. Some of the tests at the QE lab include the drop test, roller test, dip test, plug test, button test and rain test.
As of today, the OPPO QE lab has completed more than one million mobile phone tests. These professional and rigorous tests guarantee the excellent quality of OPPO’s products.
Find N2 Flip’s Flexion Hinge
When engineers at OPPO designed Find N2 Flip, they challenged themselves to amplify all the highlights that make flip phones great while painstakingly removing the drawbacks. Many flip phones have small cover screens with limited features. Their batteries are also significantly lower capacity than traditional phones and charge more slowly. Some also have clumsy folding mechanisms and a main screen with a deep crease that collects dust when in the pocket. But not OPPO Find N2 Flip.
Thanks to the smaller, New Generation Flexion Hinge, Find N2 Flip enjoys the largest cover screen, highest capacity battery and fastest charging of any flip phone. It also creates rich cover screen experiences with that extra size, ranging from playful interactive animals to useful toggles and widgets, and it levels up photography and durability in many ways.
OPPO believes that foldables have the potential to become a daily driver to a wider range of users. Foldables are the future and are of utmost importance to OPPO’s overall product strategy for the premium market. OPPO will continue to invest more in R&D to improve the foldable user experience and bring forth greater breakthroughs in the industry.
