While South Korea is now open for quarantine-free travel for all travellers, regardless of vaccination status now, for those who prefer to experience a slice of Korea without traveling abroad, Quincy Hotel Singapore has rolled out a staycation package just for you.
Be whisked away for a picture-perfect Korea-inspired weekend with Quincy Hotel Singapore’s all-new Qool Weekend package. You can book the ultimate daebak (a Korean expression that means ‘amazing’ or ‘awesome’) experience – all without having to leave the country.
Partnering with local salon and café, Walking on Sunshine and self-photo studio, Photoholic, Quincy’s Qool Weekend package brings your K-drama dreams to life with a specially curated, activity-packed three-day and two-night (3D2N) stay, inspired by Korea’s hottest lifestyle trends.
The stay includes a slew of activities and F&B bundled in so you don’t have to go through the hassle of planning anything. Let the staff at Quincy Hotel get it arranged for you. A few days before you arrive at the hotel, a hotel staff will personally contact you to ask about your dietary preferences as well as the date and time you would like to go for the experiences that are included in the staycation package.
Both Photoholic and Walking on Sunshine are located at the Somserset MRT station area, a slight distance from the hotel which is nearer to Orchard MRT station. As such, be try to arrange the activities at these two locations on the same day and with timing close to each other. The other experiences are all within the hotel itself.
I stayed at Quincy Hotel when they first launched in 2009. It has been a good 13 years since then and the Qool Weekend brings a refreshing air of nostalgia, along with the new experiences!
Once you have checked into the hotel’s Deluxe Room, you will be greeted by a variety of daebak welcome snacks, packed with delicious Korean drinks and snacks:
And the treats don’t stop there.
An ultra-stylish and fun date awaits at Walking on Sunshine, an Insta-worthy lifestyle concept located at Orchard Central that combines the best of beauty and food. For those who likes to take lots of pictures for Instagram, this restaurant is perfect.
Feast on a set menu of drool-worthy Korean-Western dishes ranging from Bulgogi Beef Cream Fettucine, Butter Garlic Prawn Pizza, to Souffle Pancakes at Walking on Sunshine. The package comes with two mains, one side dish, two drinks and a dessert at Walking on Sunshine. These were the dishes we ordered:
There are even more fun activities to enjoy at Walking on Sunshine: the stay also includes a pampering Wash & Blow Dry session at Walking on Sunshine’s salon.
This glamorous treat is the perfect preparation for a photo opportunity at Photoholic, a self-photo studio that is located a stone’s throw away from Orchard Central. Together with a pair of hanbok-clad Quinn bears as props, this trendy experience allows you to capture fun memories from your day, before walking away with two 4R co-branded photo prints.
At night, you will be treated to a Chi-maek dinner at The Lawn – Quincy’s iconic picturesque fairy light-strewn outdoor space. This quintessentially Korean meal includes a sharing platter of moreish Korean fried chicken, kimchi pancake and refreshing cans of Hite beer.
The Quincy Qool Weekend experience isn’t complete without Quincy’s signature services and offerings, where all guests are Invited to be themselves and enjoy life at their own pace.
Snooze that alarm, because guests never need to worry about waking up late again with breakfasts that are available daily from 7am to 3pm. Yes, till 3pm. The menu offers a wide spread of food, ranging from local delights like Nasi Lemak to western-style breakfast items.
In the evenings, The Lounge transforms into a playful space serving up an array of signature cocktails and rotating menu of canapés each day from 6pm to 8pm.
If you need any soda or snack, the bar on the ground floor is open 24/7. You can simply head there and grab anything you want, any time of the day. Who needs a mini bar in the room anymore?
For exercise or just to sweat it out, you can head to the gym, swimming pool or sauna, all located on the same floor:
Surprise Hanbok Photo Contest
Before you check out, complete this ultimate Korean-inspired weekend getaway by donning matching Hanbok outfits, which are placed in the wardrobe of each room. Be sure to check your wardrobe for this hidden surprise!
Whether it’s a selfie or #OOTD, you can take photos around the hotel and stand a chance to win a 3D2N stay at Quincy Hotel Melbourne by posting your best pictures on Instagram and tagging @StayQuincy (running from 26 Aug ‘22 to 19 Feb ‘23).

The curated Qool Weekend staycation experience is perfect for young couples or friends who are into K-wave; who also do not want to go through the hassle of planning their own activities and F&B. The hotel is located at a slight distance from the Orchard belt – so it keeps you away from the shopping distractions a little, but to enjoy your stay and experience for the Qool Weekend instead.
I like that everything you need from food and beverages to fun experiences are all taken care of, which means you can just laze in Quincy throughout, sans for the trip to Walking on Sunshine and Photoholic.
