Quincy is a boutique hotel recently launched by local private properties giant, Far East Organization. Tucked up Mount Elizabeth in Orchard Road, Singapore’s prime shopping district, the hotel is targeted at slightly upmarket guests. Rachel was invited to stay there for the night via a media invite for Quincy’s official opening two weeks ago.
Out of curiosity, I went along to take a look at the freshly refurbished hotel which used to be a private residential building. As Rachel and I gazed out of the window of the hotel room, we spotted many private residential estates in the vicinity. We wondered whether it will ever be possible for us to afford a residential unit in a prime location like this in future. Probably not as neither of us were born with a silver spoon in our mouth.
