Surrey Hills Grocer is Singapore’s latest gourmet grocer, lifestyle and dining destination that brings the best of Australian produce, products, cuisines and experiences to local consumers. Nestled at the D’Arena, Surrey Hills Grocer is also the first grocer in Singapore to offer a direct-to-boot service for a seamless and contactless shopping experience.

Spanning across 3,000 square feet, Surrey Hills Grocer is built with clean modern lines, and a touch of farm gate rustic that brings you down the memory lane of your fondest Australia road trips.

A majority of Surrey Hills Grocer products are Australian-made and -grown, with many of them being made available in Singapore for the first time. Some noteworthy exclusive brands include:

• Rich Glen Olive Oil – a family-owned business that produces olive-oil based food and skincare range
• Stonebarn Truffle – the largest commercial truffle producer in West Australia
• Koko Black – an iconic premium Australian chocolate that will be making its debut in Singapore

In addition, Surrey Hills Grocer also works closely with local urban farm, Straits Agriculture, to harvest fresh produce daily to be sold at its grocer, and to support its farm-to-table concept.

With its direct-to-source business model, Surrey Hills Grocer’s products and produce are shipped directly from farmers, growers and brands to the store, allowing the entire supply chain to be transparent, straightward and cost effective.

The prices of Australian-sourced goods at Surrey Hills Grocer are benchmarked against actual retail prices in Australia, to ensure it is affordable to local consumers and fair to the people who made it.

Farmers and brand owners are also given a special spotlight along the aisles of the supermarket, allowing them to share intimately about their brand story. This way, consumers can get to browse, pick and connect with the brands as they come to enjoy them.

The store also has a dedicated Winery featuring the best wines sourced from Australian vineyards. Another main highlight is the Herbs & Spices Corner, where consumers can choose up to 24 types of Surrey Hills herb blends. Popular picks include:

A favourite spot at the grocer would be the Surrey Hills Café, an alfresco dining concept that pays homage to the authentic Australian brunch culture.

Consumers can expect the quintessential dishes albeit with a twist like:

• Crayfish Benny – marinated crayfish and molten eggs topped with crayfish reduction hollandaise on toasted English muffins
• Avo – seasoned and mashed avo served with whipped ricotta and vegemite emulsion on a sourdough
• Steak Sandwich – Australian King Island Sirloin 3/4 dressed with house mustard mayo, pepper and sea salt flakes
• Tasmanian Salmon – slow-cooked sashimi grade salmon served on a bed of mushroom reduction barley grains, topped with marinated roe) and more, all done original but elevated.

The café serves aromatic brews using beans from one of Australia’s best known coffee brands, Proud Mary Coffee, that focuses on sustainable sourcing. Surrey Hills Grocer is also proud to be the first in Singapore to offer a direct-to-boot concept in Singapore. The service targets busy folks who do not have the luxury of time to traipse down supermarket aisles to shop, or consumers who simply want to make small purchases without having the need to leave the comforts of their cars. Shoppers can make their purchases online, select a specific date and timeslot, and drive down to have their grocery purchases loaded into their boot at their availability.

To support this concept, the grocer has built a sheltered designated parking bay that can allow up to four vehicles at a time. The service is completely contactless, fuss-free and best of all, complimentary.

For consumers who prefer door-step delivery, Surrey Hills Grocer has a flat islandwide delivery fee of S$15 for spending below S$120.

Surrey Hills Grocers is now open at D’Arena (511 upper Jurong Road, Singapore 638366). It operates from 11am to 3pm (Brunch) and 6pm – 9pm (Dinner) on Tuesdays – Sundays.
