Starting today, Music feature on Facebook and Instagram, as well as Map Search on Instagram are now available to all users in Singapore.
People have always come to Facebook and Instagram to express themselves and be entertained. Facebook is focused on bringing music into the ways people express themselves and connect to the artists they love, and the music lovers communities they belong to.
With its Music feature, Singapore users will be able to access Music stickers on Facebook and Instagram, Music in Profiles on Facebook, as well as Soundmojis on Messenger.
The new Map Search allows users to discover popular tagged locations around them from a new entry point in Explore (a map icon on the top right corner), and filter the locations by specific categories such as restaurants, cafes and sights.
Users can also find relevant locations in a map when searching certain hashtags. This adds to existing Instagram features that support small businesses, such as the “Support Small Business” sticker in Stories.
Facebook is launching these features to better support the online community in expressing themselves authentically, and to safely support artists and businesses that are close to home.
