Japanese-style CNY Specialities including Japanese Pen Cai from RE&S Enterprises

Add a Japanese flair to your Chinese New Year (CNY) reunion dinner this year with RE&S Enterprises, whose stable of F&B concepts include Ichiban Boshi, Ichiban Sushi, Sushi-GO, Shimbashi Soba, Kuriya Dining and Kuriya Japanese Market. RE&S is a multi-concept owner of over 70 F&B outlets in Singapore and Malaysia, specialising in Japanese cuisines.

The marquee dish to try is the Group’s Japanese Treasure Pot (S$188, serves 4 to 5 pax) or Japanese-style Pen Cai, which features a splendid array of premium ingredients including whole abalone, sashimi-grade scallops from Hokkaido, snow crab leg meat, prawn, homemade Japanese chashu, homemade chicken roulade with cabbage and spinach, kamaboko fishcake and shiitake mushroom. The superior stock is boiled for hours and the pot dish is topped with gold leaves for a touch of class.

The Japanese Treasure Pot is available online exclusively via the festive e-stores of Ichiban Boshi, Ichiban Sushi and Kuriya Japanese Market. Among the dishes we sampled during a preview tasting, this left the deepest impression and we would highly recommend it as something different from the usual Chinese Pen Cai. The broth is lighter and can be slurped while enjoying the treasures inside.
