Who is Natalie Siow Yu Zhen? Orchard Towers innocent bystander or violent gangster girl?

Natalie Siow Yu Zhen, a girl caught in a viral video, has just become an overnight internet sensation–but not because of the usual reasons.

Pretty girls abound on the internet, especially on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, but for Natalie Siow, her alleged pretty face comes with a violent story.

Who is Natalie Siow Yu Zhen?

According to a report by The Straits Times, seven people (six men and one woman) have been charged in relation to the death of a 31-year-old man. Natalie Siow Yu Zhen, 22; Joel Tan Yun Sheng, 26; Chan Jia Xing, 26; and Ang Da Yuan, 26, were charged with one count each of murder with common intent. The charges were declared on July 4.

These seven young people were charged with the murder of Satheesh Noel Gobidass after CCTV cameras caught a violent altercation at Orchard Towers on July 2. The incident happened on Tuesday at 6:25 in the morning.

A fake lawyer using a popular law firm’s name has offered Natalie Siow Yu Zhen his services for free, but he could be in trouble with the law for misrepresentation.

Court documents said that the accused were “members of an unlawful assembly whose common object was to cause hurt” the victim. Only one suspect, Chan, had a lawyer representing him. All of the accused were said to not display any emotion at all, and had numerous friends and relatives with them at court for support.

The same report from The Straits Times said that video and forensic evidence showed that the group of people including Natalie Siow were approached by Gobidass. The victim approached one of them, then the blows started to rain on him.

In the video, you can see that there is a group of friends walking, and the victim, who is in a black shirt, is walking down the escalator. The man in the black shirt approaches one man among the group of friends. After speaking, the victim and the man from the group start shoving each other, which turns the whole incident into a full-scale fight, with the group ganging up on the victim in an eight-against-one fight.

The man in the black shirt then makes a run for it up the escalator but he’s pursued by the group of people, where they continue to beat him up. The video cuts to another scene, where the group of people inflicting pain on the victim are nowhere to be seen. The victim is scene to be staggering towards the entrance of the building, where he ultimately collapses.

The report from The Straits Times said that the victim suffered from a neck wound, and that bystanders had gone to help staunch the flow of blood. The victim was rushed to Tan Sock Teng Hospital, but he lost his life at 7:25 that same morning.

The last post that aNatalie Siow whom netizens believe is the same girl in the crime video had on her Instagram was in June, as well as her Facebook profile. Her Instagram profile has since been set to private. she has just over a thousand followers on her Facebook profile, which probably would make her some sort of influencer. Her last post on her Tellonym account was during the last week of June.

She and her co-accused will be back in court on July 11. If proven guilty, one of the possible sentences is death since they could be proven guilty of a capital offense.

      If released chances are they will commit serious crimes again which will result in loss of lives..

  • An example need be set to the youngsters and adults alike to not to take law in the hands. They should be severely punished so that no one dares in the future to commit such offenses.
