Singaporean celebrities mourn Aloysius Pang

Singaporean Actor Aloysius Pang died on Wednesday, January 23, after four days fighting for his life in a New Zealand hospital. He had sustained injuries from repair work during a Singapore Armed Forces training exercise and had to be airlifted for medical treatment.

After undergoing several surgeries and being on life support for his kidneys and lungs, he succumbed to his injuries. He was 28 years old.

His colleagues in the media industry such as Carrie Wong, Paige Chua, Sheila Sim, and Shane Pow, among others have expressed their condolences and sorrow at his passing.

Aloysius is survived by his parents and a brother. He was slated to star in upcoming Mediacorp drama My One in a Million, which would have started filming with him after the Chinese New Year break, but officials in the company have said that they will recast his role.

The Ministry of Defence has also said that they will conduct an investigation into his death.
