My son Asher attended his first Kidsfest back in 2014 when he was just 3 years old and I still remember the show was “Hairy Maclary from Donaldon’s Dairy”, based on one of his favourite book series by Lynley Dodd:
Over the years, he caught various other shows under Kidsfest, including several Gruffalo shows, based on the best-selling Gruffalo book series by UK’s award-winning author, Julia Donaldson. In fact, he even got to meet the author in person at one of the show to get his book signed:
He is now in Primary 1 and still look forward to catching Kidsfest shows every year.
Tickets are now on sale for KidsFest 2019, a festival of world-class theatre productions for children in Singapore. This year’s line-up include favourites like See The Gruffalo, The Tiger Who Came to Tea, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt and Room on the Broom. More details are available on the official website.
“KidsFest is an exciting Festival for the whole family. Characters from well-loved books are brought to life and the stories presented vividly on stage. It’s a wonderful platform for family interaction and at the same time, nurtures a child’s interest in literature and language. KidsFest has become a key event on Singapore’s calendar of cultural events when families can look forward to a series of world-class productions,” shared Matthew Gregory, Executive Producer of ABA Productions.
Hope to see you at one of the shows and I am sure your little ones will enjoy the shows as much as my son did through the years. 🙂
