This Lunar New Year is the year of the Dog and what better way to celebrate than to toss a 3D Yu Sheng featuring 3 cute dogs!
Specially designed and created for 2018, Golden Peony restaurant at Conrad Centennial Singapore is offering a “Fortune 3-D Meringue Yu Sheng with New Bedford Scallop, Salmon, Crispy White Bait and Fish Skin” for diners to usher in the new year.
Not only is the dish very pretty to look at, it is also delicious and generous in portioning with the seafood. If you are tired of the usual Yu Sheng, here’s one that will definitely stand out from the crowd, whether in presentation or taste.
Other than the 3D Yu Sheng, Golden Peony’s Executive Chinese Chef Ku Keung together with an established team of Hong Kong culinary experts, came together to curate and prepare the finest CNY menu offerings in town. Golden Peony is listed in Singapore Michelin Guide 2017 and is awarded one star in Wine&Dine Singapore’s Top Restaurants Guide for 2017/2018.
Check out some of the other dishes available for this year’s CNY menu:
The two standout dishes for me were the stewed duck and roast suckling pig. The latter is a specialty at Golden Peony, with the roast suckling pig presented with a different wrapping each year. This year it comes wrapped and individually served with sticky rice and fritters.
For the stewed duck dish, you can smell the aroma and fragrance of the lotus leaves when the wrapper is doused with wine and fired up. The duck is warm and moist, flavourful with each bite.
The braised abalone, lobster and prawn dishes are opulent in the ingredients used, serving some of the finest seafood available in the market. Overall, the dishes are very pretty to look at and delicious too, providing a culinary treat in every sense.
