AirAsia now has flights from Singapore to Bintulu

AirAsia, the world’s best low-cost airline, today launched its inaugural flight from Singapore to Bintulu. The flight is the first city link to connect the two states.

The flight departed Singapore at 0910, with a flight time of 1 hour 50 minutes and landed in Bintulu Airport at 1100.

The maiden flight was received by YB Dato’ Seri Tiong King Sing, Bintulu MP and Mr. Spencer Lee, Head of Commercial, AirAsia Berhad; alongside YB Datuk Lee Kim Shin, Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Sarawak;  Madam Mary Wan Mering, Director – Corporate Services, Sarawak Tourism; and Mr. Zamani Bin Mohd Rafique, Director of Government Relations, AirAsia Berhad.

The direct flight to Bintulu is part of AirAsia’s ongoing efforts to boost connectivity between Singapore and East Malaysia in order to drive trade and tourism between the two states.

Flights to Bintulu from Singapore will operate four times a week. AirAsia now flies to three destinations from Singapore to Sarawak with a total of 27 weekly flights one way. In addition to Bintulu, the airline also flies to Kuching and Miri.
