Miffy the rabbit is in town and here’s where you can catch her

If you are a fan of Miffy, you would know she’s not Japanese and she’s not friends with Hello Kitty.

Created by Dick Bruna, who sadly died in February this year, Nijntje is the original name of Miffy and she’s Dutch.

Her name comes from “konijntje” which means “little rabbit”. Olive Jones, an English translator, later christened her Miffy.

From The Netherlands to Singapore, Miffy the rabbit is in town. Featuring 10 life-size Miffy statues (1.6m tall), Miffy is here to explore the best things to do, see and eat.

Miffy Meet &Greet


26 and 27 August, 9 and 10 September at 1pm and 4pm at Junction 8, Level 2 Atrium.

Non-stop Miffy Fun


On Saturdays till 8 October at 2pm and 5pm; 1 to 10 September, daily at 2pm and 5pm, get crafty with sand art, biscuit decoration and lantern making. You can redeem a workshop pass with a minimum spend of $50 at Junction 8. You can also reserve your slot for $5 and receive tenant vouchers worth $20.

Take Miffy Home


Fans can bring home Miffy premiums such as plates, thermal tumblers and colouring pouches, with a minimum spend of $180 ($240 for Fairprice Finest receipts) at Junction 8 and minimum spend of $100 ($160 for Giant receipts) at Sembawang Shopping Centre. There is also an exclusive colouring set with a  minimum spend of $60 at Junction 8. Maximum of three combined same-day same-mall receipts. Limited to one redemption per shopper per day.

Miffy Picnic Party
Join Miffy as she throws a picnic party at Junction 8 roof garden on 9 September at 4pm. Reserve your places at only $50 for a group of four at Junction 8 Customer Service Counter.
