Peach Garden @ The Metropolis – Peking Duck, Roast Suckling Pig

Peach Garden is a chain of Chinese restaurants in Singapore, owned and operated by the Select Group. They currently have nine restaurants in Singapore, of which three are Chinese dining restaurants, including Peach Garden @ The Metropolis which I dined at.

The first Peach Garden Chinese Restaurant was established by restaurant veterans Veronica Tan and Angela Ho in 2002 and they formally became part of Select Group in 2008. Over the years, Peach Garden restaurants have received numerous accolades and awards from renowned publications such as Singapore Tatler’s Best Restaurants Guide and Singapore Top Restaurants Award from Wine & Dine.

The restaurant at The Metropolis specialises in Cantonese cuisine and signature dishes include their Peking Duck and Roast Suckling Pig. If you like Cantonese style roast meat, you can get both favourites at Peach Garden @ The Metropolis.

These were some of the items I tried when I went there for a family dinner:

Both the Peking Duck and the Suckling Pig were of high quality. The skins were kept wafer-thin and crispy and the crunch is satisfying as you pop each piece into your mouth. The remaining meat do not go to waste and are served in stir-fried for the duck and deep-fried for the pork. Usually these meat dishes are seen as “leftovers” but they can be pretty delicious when prepared with care. The salted deep-fried pork bits were delightful snack bites to end the meal with.
