10 Famous Female Assassins including the Infamous LOL Girl

So, you’ve heard about the infamous LOL girl who killed Kim Jong-nam (10 things to know about him), the exiled half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. The “reality TV prank” she’s pulled over a perfect stranger has just escalated into her judgment day. Once convicted, she will be facing death penalties – and this is no laughing matter (no pun intended).

Doan Thi Huong, who’s been identified, as the LOL girl isn’t alone when it comes to murdering someone in cold blood. Here are also 9 other female assassins who had no qualms of killing another human being:

  1. Kim Hyon-hui
Source: The Guardian.

The former North Korean secret agent had the entire world reeling in utter shock when she blew up the Korean Air Flight 858 in 1987. Kim Hyon-hui’s mission to bomb the plane in a bid to stop the Seoul Olympics Game from happening left all 115 passengers and crew members onboard dead.

After being pardoned by the South Korean government, she revealed that the “inexperienced” Kim Jong-un has placed much emphasis on making the military impregnable. Knowing these 10 facts about him would help you understand what made her say that and also 5 new hairstyles we recommend him as he commands our attention for every move he makes in the public eye.

  1. Fanny Kaplan

At a young age of 28, Fanny Kaplan couldn’t wait to see Vladimir Lenin, the Bolshevik leader dead. She fired shots at him as she saw him as a traitor to the Revolution in Russia. The irony was that the poor eyesight – due to a previous bomb detonation that almost left her blind – didn’t make it sound possible that she would have shot Lenin. Nevertheless, she was executed with a single bullet to her head after her refusal to give the name of the person she was working for.

  1. Maria Jimenez, or “La Tosca” (The Tough One)
Source: Borderland Beat.

Yes, we all know how dangerous it can get in Mexico – this country rife with drug cartels and mafia just scares the living daylights out of us. In fact, a Mexican female assassin has admitted to getting her hands in blood over murdering TWENTY people. Jimenez is someone we won’t want to touch with a ten-foot pole, for sure.

  1. Mary Suratt

Suratt made history as she became the first woman to be executed by the US government. Her crime? She was believed to be partially responsible for the assassination of the highly revered President Abraham Lincoln. Even though many believed her son was in on it too, he managed to get away.

  1. Shi Jian Qiao

Having her father’s head cut off and displayed “Game-of-Thrones” style – with his head placed on a pike outside a railway station – it spoke volume of her boundless brutality. True enough, she didn’t bat an eyelid when she shot Sun Chuanfang – who’s seen as a traitor in her eyes – all in the name of seeking justice. That being said, we would never want to get on Jian Qiao’s bad side.

  1. Brigitte Mohnhaupt

As a fervent member of the Red Army Faction (RAF) – German communist terrorist group – it seemed like killing people was second nature to Mohnhaupt. This callous lady-killer is incapable of a guilty conscience, as she didn’t feel any rue towards her wrongdoings. Or perhaps she felt that she was doing everyone a service as she struck names off her hit list.

  1. Valerie Solanas

Remember Andy Warhol? He’s the eccentric American artist famed for one of his masterpieces, Shot Marilyns (1964) and almost died in the hands of Valerie Solanas. The extreme playwright attempted to kill him when Warhol rejected the satiric script that she’s painstakingly written and wanted him to produce. There’re some women who just don’t take “no” for an answer.

  1. Sara Jane Moore

There’s always been a history of presidents in the United States being made a target for shooting – and then Presidential incumbent, Gerald Ford is no exception. After aiming at him in 1975, Moore’s plan to assassinate him came to a halt when the bullet ricocheted, instead injuring an innocent person. Needless to say, she served her time in jail for the attempted murder.

  1. LOL girl/Doan Thi Huong

Not losing to her Western female counterparts, the LOL girl is pretty lethal too. After the earth-shattering assassination of Kim Jong-nam – which she had a part to play in – came to pass, we were all surprised at what laid behind this young Vietnamese singer-wannabe. This exposé of 5 scandalous things about the LOL girl would only surprise you further.

Now that the possibility of being hung to death looms ahead, it may elicit her to spill the beans at trial.

  1. LOL girl’s accomplice/Siti Aisyah

How can the LOL girl’s accomplice not make it to this list too? After all, they were in cahoots on this “prank” Aisyah claimed to be hoodwinked into doing. Her defense? She thought she was partaking in a competition on a TV show and the following video seemed to substantiate her claim.

Nonetheless, it all depends if the judge buys the story – which would then become her get-out-of-jail card – but nothing is impossible before the next court date.

No longer are women the weaker sex; as these 10 fearsome female assassins have proven the point.
