Relax with Spa Central Batam

If you’re thinking of what to do over the weekend, consider this — hop on for a one-hour ferry ride at Harbourfront to Batam island, have an authentic Indonesian meal, and head for a spa at Spa Central Batam, before ending it with a sweet finish of a seafood dinner.

Highly recommended by TripAdvisor, Spa Central Batam is one of the most professional spa services in Batam.

Spa Central, Batam.

After making transport arrangements with Spa Central Batam directly, they helped us secure our ferry bookings, and picked us up from the ferry terminal.

Upon reaching Spa Central, which is nestled amidst a tranquil neighbourhood, we were led into one of the VIP rooms. It came equipped with two massage beds and a bathtub, which is perfect for couples who want to enjoy a massage together.

After starting off with a Foot Scrub, we had an Aromatherapy Massage Treatment for 90 min (IDR 320.000), followed by a Body Scrub for 30 min (IDR 180.000).

Their friendly and jovial staff.

The therapy was deeply relaxing, and their services were professional. The Aromatherapy Massage Treatment was well executed.  I opted for the Lavender Oil. The therapist was intuitive and considerate, paying attention to the amount of pressure exerted, and taking extra care in ensuring that it was a relaxing experience for me.

The Body Scrub (I opted for the Green Tea scrub, among the many choices) was deeply exfoliating. The therapist was firm and yet gentle at the same time.

Overall, their services were excellent.

After the Spa treatment, we were served with ginger tea and a cucumber drink, with a biscotti in the lounge area.

While the prices for spa treatments at Spa Central Batam is only slightly lower than what you would find in Singapore, it has several plus points.

First, Spa Central’s therapists are professionally trained by ex-Banyan Tree therapists, and abide by an ethical code of conduct.

Second, Spa Central provides free pick-up services to and from the Spa, with a minimum of 2 people and 2 hour treatments.

Third, you can book your BatamFast ferry tickets with Spa Central at a lower rate than what you’d get online or at the counter.

Fourth, you can plan a day or weekend trip with Spa Central at discounted rates. The Spa has a list of recommended restaurants as well as hotel partners with special discounted rates. Further, they provide a private driver service, giving your itinerary a more personalised touch.

We love how they thoughtfully prepare various options to cater to one’s transport, accommodation and basic needs. Just be sure to be clear in providing your confirmed time of departure and arrival, and they will handle the rest for you. Further, Spa Central Batam, which has been around for approximately five years, has a focus in employing single mothers in Indonesia.

Not to mention, a Spa treatment package here at Spa Central Batam would be vastly different from what you would find in Singapore, as you would also get to enjoy a day or weekend out of Singapore at the same time, as a quick getaway.
