Delicious @ Scotts Square

Delicious Singapore

Delicious at Scotts Square is Malaysia’s E&O Group‘s first establishment in Singapore. This is the same company which owns and operates the iconic Eastern & Oriental heritage hotel in Penang.

Delicious operates 9 restaurants in Malaysia and was first launched in 2010 by E&O. The restaurant is halal, which makes it an option when dining with Muslim friends and colleagues.

The menu features a mixture of Asian and Western fare that includes Nasi Kerabu, Ayam Pencik, Duck Confit Spaghettini with Sundried Tomatoes and Coriander, Thai Beef Salad and various desserts.

I went there to eat last month with some friends. We were looking for a halal option in the town area with a nice ambience to hang around for catching up. Delicious fitted the criteria.

In addition, I had one-for-one e-vouchers from The Entertainer (click to find out more on The Entertainer) which we could use.

Items we tried:

Seafood aglio olio
Signature Delicious burger
Fish & Chips
Red velvet cake
Date pudding with butterscotch and vanilla ice cream

Verdict?

Average food, but very nice ambience.

The beef patty in the Delicious Burger I ordered was charred solid at a corner. Not so delicious. The aglio olio lacks texture and taste. I know aglio olio is spaghetti seasoned with oil and garlic and it is usually a safe item to order. Not so in this case. The fish and chips was alright.

For dessert, both items were too sweet for my liking, but my friends were okay with them.

Prices are on the steep side, but not so if you utilise The Entertainer discount. The restaurant runs regular promotions, hence do check out their facebook page for updates. During my visit, they were having a one-for-one pasta promotion.

If you are interested to visit Delicious, here are the restaurant’s details:
