Singapore does has a vibrant night life – you just need to know where to find it. 🙂 Together with Radio 100.3 and Radio 91.3, omy.sg organised a series of fun-filled activities to promote the night life in the Bras Basah Bugis Precinct.
You can find out where all the night owls hang out in the precinct as well as exciting upcoming activities on the official website.
The first event occured on 4 Mar (previous Friday), whereby a group of Radio 100.3 listeners and omy.sg bloggers were invited to experience a night ride on a trishaw in the area, followed by some board games at Settler’s Cafe. You can read the bloggers’ account and media reports HERE.
I shared a trishaw with another blogger, Basket. This is the first time I am riding a trishaw in Singapore. I felt kind of guilty as the rider was an elderly gentlemen and my weight is on the heavy side. Nonetheless, the rider was very professional and fit. He peddled us around the entire precinct for almost 45 minutes.
It feels nice to zip through the streets, faster than on feet, but slower than in a motor vehicle such that the timing is just right for you to slowly enjoy the view and soak in the vibrant night atmosphere.
After the trishaw ride, we went to the Settler’s Cafe located at the nearby SMU campus to play some board games as well as have some light snacks and refreshment.
If you are interested to find out more on what’s happening and cool in the Bras Basah Bugis precinct, do check out the official website. 🙂
