Youth.SG’s Feed Me Finale Concert @ Home Club

Free sticker and CD at the door

I attended the Youth.SG’s Feed Me Finale Concert at Home Club, Clark Quay two weeks ago. It was interesting to see how the Feed Me campaign drew a very different young party crowd compared to the homely kids the portal usually attracted.

For any web portal, the main challenge faced when holding physical events is to draw out your audiences who tend to be social-introverts, more comfortable holed up at home in front of their computers. Kudos to the current Youth.SG tag-team of Lai Chow and Stanley for pulling a healthy turnout for their finale concert.

I stayed through the first set of performances by King Kong Jane and Tan Diya. I left early after that as my stomach was growling as I came straight to Home Club after work without dinner.

The campaign is a showcase of youth expression in Singapore whereby three home-grown indie bands are paired with three celebrities to record a song and a music video each. All the three music videos are directed by talented up-and-rising local director, Boo Junfeng.
