The SITEX fair (27 to 30 Nov) at Singapore Expo is very near to my reservist camp at Changi Naval Base, hence I got time take a look on Friday on my dismount day. 🙂
I bought quite a bit of stuff – mostly accessories to complement my MacBook Pro bought at the earlier COMEX fair.
Btw, I was quite surprised to see a Suzuki booth selling laptops… is the automobile market really so bad that they have to diversify to make laptops? Strange man.
The crowd was still okay as I went at around 1pm on a weekday noon. I was quite glad to avoid the horrible weekend crowd which will jam up all the walkways and corridors. This gave me time to slowly browse and sniff out the best bargains.
Here’s my hoot for this year’s SITEX:
Oh there’s something interesting I observed – the absence of the ubiquitous IT show girls! I only spotted two at the ASUS booth. I guess it’s a cost-cutting measure to cope with the economic recession. After all, the show girls do not serve any purpose except attract Chee Ko Pek photographers who will just crowd up the place, not necessarily making any purchases. 🙂
