Cat & the Fiddle Celebrates Childhood Favourite Flavours This National Day

If there’s one dessert that instantly reminds us of growing up in Singapore, it’s ice kacang. Cat & the Fiddle has taken that familiar local favourite and turned it into a cheesecake just in time for Singapore’s 61st birthday. We got to try it for ourselves, and it’s a fun take on a classic Singaporean dessert.

The new Ice Kacang Cheesecake packs in many of the flavours you’d expect from the traditional dessert. There’s a rich red bean gula melaka cheese mousse layered with pandan jelly cubes and sweet corn jelly, plus a soft rose-infused sponge in the centre that adds a subtle floral note. It’s finished with a smooth red bean topping and red and white chantilly cream, giving it a festive National Day look.

What stood out to us was how well the different flavours came together. The cheesecake isn’t overly sweet, with the pandan, gula melaka and red bean complementing one another nicely. We also liked the pandan jelly and sweet corn, which add a bit of texture and make it feel even closer to the classic ice kacang experience. It’s best enjoyed straight from the freezer, where it has a creamy, almost ice cream-like consistency.

The Ice Kacang Cheesecake is available at .90 for a whole cake or .90 per slice.

Also joining the National Day lineup is the new Raspberry Ripple Cheesecake, inspired by the classic raspberry ripple ice cream many Singaporeans would remember buying from neighbourhood ice cream uncles.

It combines New York cheese mousse with raspberry jam, raspberry cheese mousse and a soft vanilla sponge, finished with chantilly cream and berry crumbles. A whole cake is priced at .90, while slices are available at .90.

From 1 to 9 August 2026, Cat & the Fiddle is offering 61% off the second cheesecake when you buy any two cheesecakes, with at least one being either the Ice Kacang or Raspberry Ripple Cheesecake. The promotion is available while stocks last.

Both limited edition flavours are available for pre-order from 29 June 2026, with the earliest collection and delivery from 8 July 2026. All Cat & the Fiddle cheesecakes are halal-certified, making them a great option for National Day gatherings with family and friends.
