敲钟送米: Hit the CNY Gong for Charity

This Chinese New Year, let’s not forget about the less fortunate while we enjoy our sumptuous reunion dinners and bountiful new year goodies.

Radio 1003 and omy.sg have collaborated together in a charity drive, seeking public support to sound a virtual new year gong to give blessings to single old folks.

With each sound of the virtual gong, you can register as a user and leave behind a new year greeting message. Also, 50g of rice will be donated on your behalf with each gong sound.

This charity drive seeks to collect 30,000 gong hits, thus raising 1500kg of rice for charity. This will be able to last 300 single old folks for three months each.

To find out more about this charity drive, you can visit the official website HERE and read the news story HERE on omy.sg. 🙂
