This must be one of the few remaining cafe in Singapore that still serves hand-made traditional dim sum. Tucked in Sunshine Plaza, Rachel and I had a quick bite there as a mid-day snack.

We didn’t order much, just a chee cheong fun; a ginger milk curd and siew mai. The bill came to about ten bucks if I didn’t remember wrongly; steep as per most other dim sum eateries since dim sum are labour intensive to make.

We like the ambient of the cafe which has a nostalgic feel to it, as if time stood still for a decade or  so. The staff are elderly uncles and aunties who are neither friendly nor rude, but just go about doing their job like a mechanical routine.

Food was okay, but not particularly to-die-for as rated by many online reviewers and other food publications. I don’t think I will specially go down to Sunshine Plaza just to eat the dim sum there, but it’s one of those places which I don’t mind eating at if we happen to be in the area. 🙂
