Billed as Singapore’s first large-scale immersive collective rest experience, the one-day event will transform New Bahru’s iconic School Hall into a relaxing sanctuary combining live acoustic sound, ambient lighting and comfortable sleeping arrangements.

Designed to help participants disconnect from the pace of city life, the experience will welcome more than 100 people per session, with multiple sessions running from morning until evening. Guests can enjoy Heveya’s range of resting options, from individual meditation mats to natural organic latex mattresses, while live practitioners from Future Resonance fill the hall with the sounds of gongs and acoustic instruments.

The venue will feature ambient lighting by official lighting partner XTRA Designs and soft furnishings by Soul & Tables, creating an atmospheric setting for relaxation. Participants are free to enjoy the experience at their own pace, whether stretching out on a mattress, journalling or simply immersing themselves in the sounds.

The programme features two experiences: 60-minute Acoustic Sound Healing and 120-minute Deep Rest & Sound.

The Acoustic Sound Healing sessions will be led by Noel Tuan, a multidisciplinary gong sound healer at Future Resonance. Using live gongs and acoustic instruments, the sessions offer an introduction to immersive soundscapes designed to provide a dedicated period of relaxation. No prior meditation or sound healing experience is required.

Sessions are scheduled for 10am, 12pm and 2pm, with tickets starting from S$35, excluding GST.

For a longer experience, Deep Rest & Sound will be led by Joshua Garcia Reyna, a multi-instrumentalist, qualified yoga teacher and sound healing practitioner with more than a decade of experience. He has previously conducted sessions at Yogaloft Mexico in Tulum, Ulpotha in Sri Lanka and Pyramids of Chi in Ubud, Bali, where he also held a residency.

His 120-minute sessions will begin with gentle guided relaxation before transitioning into an immersive meditative sound journey featuring traditional instruments. These sessions will take place at 5pm and 8pm, with tickets starting from S$60, excluding GST. Each participant will also receive a goodie bag featuring curated products from sponsors including Moom, Tily Teas and Sigi Skin.

Three ticket categories offer different resting arrangements for individuals and groups. Standard tickets start from S$35++ and provide individuals with a private one-person meditation mat.

The Plus category starts from S$55++ and accommodates groups of two to three guests, with a selection of Heveya II and III mattresses available in Single, Super Single, Queen and King sizes.

Those seeking a more premium arrangement can opt for Premium tickets from S$105++, which feature selected mattresses from Heveya’s CLOUD, WOL, LUX, Round and Trio Family collections.

Beyond the main sound experience, guests can explore additional food and design offerings at the venue. EYWA, the official nourishment partner, will operate a pop-up outside the School Hall, offering wholefood smoothies and deli items for visitors looking to replenish between sessions.

XTRA Designs will also present a pop-up featuring the ambient lighting used throughout The Resting Room, alongside products from international design brands including Louis Poulsen, Tom Dixon and Muuto.

The showcase will include selected design pieces such as Hoptimist figures, Tom Dixon accessories, Normann Copenhagen Bit stools and Louis Poulsen Panthella portable lamps. Complimentary Louis Poulsen pins will also be available for attendees while stocks last.

By bringing together sound healing, sleep wellness, interior design and food, The Resting Room aims to offer participants a different way to experience rest in an urban environment.

The one-day experience will take place at New Bahru’s School Hall, with Acoustic Sound Healing sessions at 10am, 12pm and 2pm, followed by Deep Rest & Sound sessions at 5pm and 8pm. Tickets start from S$35, excluding GST, with different options available for individuals and groups. https://alvinology.com/2026/11/03/hoka-opens-its-largest-singapore-store-at-jewel-changi-airport-with-new-lifestyle-footwear-range/
