Located at Lau Pa Sat, the refreshed Food Folks aims to give Singaporeans and international visitors more ways to discover homegrown food and retail businesses. More than 80% of its brands are from Singapore, with the latest revamp placing greater emphasis on local flavours, creative products and the stories behind the businesses.

One of the key additions is a revamped Food Zone designed to offer different experiences throughout the day. Visitors can explore local food and retail products during the day, while evenings will feature a more social dining atmosphere with a bar-inspired concept and an automatic self-service wine dispenser.

The space will also host rotating pop-up food and beverage concepts throughout the year. The first to take over is The Local +65, which will serve cocktails inspired by familiar Singaporean flavours with a contemporary twist. Its offerings will include the Lau Pa Sat Signature Cocktail, with exclusive creations rolling out soon.

Chocolate lovers can look forward to a collaboration between Food Folks and Singaporean bean-to-bar chocolatier Fossa Chocolate. The partnership introduces an exclusive Chendol Chocolate inspired by the familiar local dessert. Fossa will also showcase other Food Folks-exclusive creations, including Kaya Kopi Toast Chocolate, Lychee Dragon Fruit Dark Chocolate, Sakura Bandung with Macadamia, and Pineapple Tart Chocolate.

The refreshed space will feature a Meet the Makers programme from 27 to 30 October, between 11am and 3pm. Visitors can meet local founders, learn about their businesses and sample selected products.

Participating brands include The Crimson Atelier, which creates gifts and accessories inspired by Singapore’s culture, architecture and heritage. ZENKO Superfoods will showcase nutritious snacks made with natural ingredients, including Himalayan water lily seeds. RÓA Patisserie will share the story behind its allergen-friendly desserts, including Midnight™, its signature chocolate cake developed after founder Jane Tan’s daughter experienced multiple food allergies.

Food Folks’ feline mascot FoFo will also return with a refreshed look and a new collection of merchandise inspired by Singapore’s food culture. From 27 to 30 October, visitors can meet FoFo around Lau Pa Sat during peak lunch hours, from 11am to 3pm, and take photos with the mascot.

The merchandise collection includes plushie blind boxes, reusable tote bags, magnets, enamel-style keychains and fidget keycaps. Visitors can also personalise their own keepsakes at a customisable keycap keychain station, where they can mix and match designs.

To mark the launch, the first 50 customers who spend at least S$50 at Food Folks can purchase the complete FoFo plushie blind box set for S$88.

More activities will take place during the opening period. From 27 to 30 October, shoppers who spend at least S$20 at participating Food Folks merchants can try the Roll & Redeem vending machine for a guaranteed prize, which may include exclusive FoFo merchandise and products from participating brands. Up to two receipts from the same day can be combined to meet the minimum spend. The activity runs daily from 11am to 8pm.

The celebrations will continue throughout November with FoFo’s Paw of Approval Dining Passport, running from 1 to 30 November 2026. Visitors will receive one stamp for every S$10 nett spent in a single receipt at Food Folks or Lau Pa Sat. By collecting stamps from both locations, shoppers can redeem exclusive FoFo collectibles, with rewards increasing in value as they accumulate more stamps. Available rewards include limited-edition magnets, reusable tote bags, four-piece keycap keychains and plushies.

With its refreshed Food Zone, exclusive local products and activities centred on homegrown businesses, Food Folks is looking to strengthen its role as a platform for Singaporean brands to reach both residents and overseas visitors.

Food Folks is located at Lau Pa Sat, 18 Raffles Quay, and opens daily from 10am to 10pm. https://alvinology.com/2026/10/26/review-putiens-26th-anniversary-menu-brings-back-old-favourites-and-fond-family-memories/
