FairPrice Xtra’s Second Xtra Lab Opens at AMK Hub With Food Tastings, Games and Exclusive Deals

FairPrice Xtra has opened its second Xtra Lab store-in-store at AMK Hub, bringing more than 250 trending food products and snacks from across Asia to shoppers in Singapore.

Officially opened on 29 October 2026, the new Xtra Lab is located within FairPrice Xtra at AMK Hub. It follows the launch of the first Xtra Lab at Jurong Point earlier this year, offering shoppers a wider selection of novelty snacks, drinks and convenient meal options during their regular grocery trips.

The new store features products ranging from unusual snack flavours to familiar Asian food brands.

Among the highlights are OREO snacks in flavours inspired by KFC chicken, popcorn and pistachio, as well as Lao Gan Ma flavoured Oishi crackers and chips.

Shoppers looking for drinks and home cafe options can find Chagee tea bags in peach oolong and jasmine flavours, alongside bottled Starbucks Coconut Latte Coffee.

For those who want to recreate restaurant-style dishes at home, the selection includes frozen duck from Beijing’s Quanjude, a brand with a 164-year history, scallion hand-pulled pancakes from Liang Puff, Hunan pork dumplings from Meat Affair, and seasoning packs from Jia Dian Zi Wei.

The store also features a Pick & Mix section with 60 choices of sweets, snacks and dried fruits. Shoppers can select six items for S$5.

Celebrity chef Eric Teo headlined the official opening with live cooking demonstrations featuring Jia Dian Zi Wei seasoning packs. He showed shoppers how to prepare dishes such as Hunan-style spicy pork and Chongqing spicy chicken at home.

Meat Affair also conducted a live Hunan pork dumpling-wrapping session, demonstrating traditional preparation techniques. Other opening activities included product sampling, an interactive AI photobooth, gachapon machine games and appearances by a panda mascot at selected times.

To mark the opening, Xtra Lab is offering several limited-time promotions while stocks last.

Kang Shi Fu Noodles, sold in packs of five, and Chi Forest Sparkling Water are available under a buy-one-get-one-free promotion. Quanjude braised or salted duck is priced at S$12.50, down from the usual price of S$18.

Meat Affair Hunan Pork Dumplings, in 400g packs, are available at three packs for S$10.95, compared with the usual price of S$5.90 per pack. Master Chef Instant Meals in Mala Dry and Mala Tang flavours, each in a 500g pack, are offered at two for S$8.80, down from S$5.50 each.

Selected opening activities, including sampling stations, the AI photobooth and panda mascot appearances, are running from 29 October to 1 November 2026. Shoppers can also participate in a gachapon game for a chance to win prizes with a minimum in-store spend of S$15.

Xtra Lab is located at FairPrice Xtra, AMK Hub, 53 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, #B2-40, Singapore 569933. The supermarket operates 24 hours daily.
