Curiosity Cove Unveils First Halloween Event With Mystery Trail and Family Activities

Curiosity Cove at Mandai Wildlife Reserve is getting a Halloween makeover this October with its inaugural event, The Mischief Within, inviting families to solve clues, take on carnival challenges and explore an after dark mystery trail.

Running from 1 October to 1 November 2026, the event is presented with Ranger Buddies, an edutainment brand focused on encouraging children to make a positive difference to themselves, others and the world.

The Halloween programme is divided into two experiences. Boo-tiful Day takes place daily from 10am to 5.30pm, while Sundown runs on selected Friday to Sunday evenings from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

During Boo-tiful Day, young visitors can take part in carnival style activities inspired by The Mischief Within storyline. Activities include knocking down a pumpkin wall, blasting mischievous pumpkins and creating neon glow paintings or glowing night lamps to bring home.

Children can also pick up a candy bag and look for the roaming Ranger Buddies crew around Curiosity Cove for trick or treat activities.

As night falls, Curiosity Cove transforms for The Mischief Within Trail. Families and groups are tasked with tracking down a mysterious presence by completing a series of challenges around the indoor playscape.

Participants will rally a hoverball towards a finish point to uncover clues, count glowing eyes in the dark, rebuild a reef creature at Reef Retreat and navigate a maze to solve the final code and seal The Mischief away.

The Sundown programme concludes with a bubble performance by CJ Bubbles, followed by a victory parade. Families are encouraged to dress up for the occasion, with one child and one family crowned Best Dressed each night.

Families looking to extend their Halloween experience can also opt for the Play & Stay bundle, which combines Sundown admission with a tent stay at Reservoir Retreat for two to four guests.

Food and drinks will also receive a Halloween twist during the event period, with special themed bites available at the Ranger Buddies Café and daily at Owa Bistro.

Event tickets are now on sale, with special rates available for Friends of Mandai, WildPass holders and corporate groups. Ranger Buddies members can enjoy a 25 per cent discount.

Boo-tiful Day activities are included with regular Curiosity Cove admission, while Sundown requires a separate ticket. Guests who already have a Curiosity Cove day admission ticket can extend their visit into the Sundown session for an additional $25.

Tickets are available online and on site at Curiosity Cove. The Mischief Within runs from 1 October to 1 November 2026, giving families a month to experience Curiosity Cove’s first Halloween event.
