Step into Andy’s World with SKAI’s new Toy Story High Tea

If you grew up watching Toy Story, there’s a good chance you’ll recognise quite a few familiar faces at SKAI right now.

Perched on the 70th floor of Swissôtel The Stamford, SKAI has launched a limited-time Toy Story-inspired high tea, turning some of the movie’s most recognisable characters into bite-sized savoury and sweet treats.

The “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” high tea is available from 1 September to 30 November 2026, so fans have a few months to head up for a themed afternoon with a pretty good view of the Singapore skyline.

Before heading up to SKAI, you can also check out a Toy Story-themed Disney pop-up on Level 2 of Swissôtel The Stamford, which adds a little more to the experience for fans of the movie.

We recently got to try the spread, which comes with a mix of savoury bites, sweets and scones. Each item takes inspiration from a different Toy Story character, so it’s quite fun going through the tier and figuring out who’s who.

Starting with the savouries, Potato Head Royale is SKAI’s take on Mr Potato Head, with smoked russet potato, Comté gougère, black truffle and N25 caviar.

The Pretzel Stretch, inspired by Slinky Dog, comes with a Wagyu beef smokie tucked into pretzel brioche, paired with sauerkraut and onion fondue.

For Hamm, there’s Golden Orchard, a smoked duck mousse with honey apple gel and duck crackling, while Tropical Roar, inspired by Rex, combines a soft pineapple bolo bun with pandan mascarpone.

The final savoury bite is Garden Harvest, inspired by the little green Peas-in-a-Pod, made with pea purée, Parma ham, cucumber and feta cream cheese on a savoury cracker.

The sweet tier is where the Toy Story references become even more obvious. Cowboy Chocolate, inspired by Woody, is a chocolate and hazelnut creation made with Caraïbe 66% chocolate and hazelnut feuilletine, finished with little cowboy details.

Buzz gets his own Space Ranger, featuring berry velvet sponge, mixed berry compote and cream cheese frosting.

For Lotso, there’s Lots O’ Berry, a strawberry shortcake made with pandan sponge, strawberry compote and Chantilly cream, topped with raspberry chocolate.

The tiny green Aliens appear as The Claw’s Choice, a matcha choux filled with house-made orange marmalade, while Golden Gallop, inspired by Jessie and Bullseye, comes in the form of Alfonso mango sorbet with blueberries and buttery streusel.

There’s also a warm raisin scone served with Devonshire clotted cream and preserves, which is always a nice addition to an afternoon tea spread.

Of course, the drinks get the Toy Story treatment too. We tried Little Green Glow, inspired by the Aliens, which combines mint cordial, cucumber, citrus and blue curaçao syrup for something light and refreshing.
