Dyson Airsmooth Launches in Singapore as Brand’s First Dedicated Hot Air Brush

Dyson has unveiled the Airsmooth, its first dedicated hot air brush, bringing the brand’s airflow technology and intelligent heat control into a new styling device designed to dry, smooth and lift hair in a single routine.

Available in Singapore from 8 September 2026, the Dyson Airsmooth combines Dyson’s PivotFlex and Anti-snag bristle technologies to help users stretch curls and coils, smooth hair lengths, reduce frizz and prepare hair for further styling.

The device is designed to address some of the common challenges associated with traditional hot air brushes, including excessive heat, snagging and uneven heat distribution. Dyson says its engineers developed a patented dual bristle system intended to guide hair through the device while reducing tangling and mechanical stress.

The Anti-snag bristles feature a looped structure that collapses to release strands more easily. According to Dyson, this helps reduce snagging and improve comfort around the scalp during styling.

The PivotFlex bristles use an open-base design to diffuse and control high pressure airflow. They can flex up to 90 degrees, with a tapered profile designed to help hair wrap and release smoothly while creating tension without tangles.

The two bristle systems are arranged in a teardrop formation to provide tension from root to tip. Dyson says this allows the Airsmooth to work across straight, wavy, curly and coily hair, supporting routines ranging from everyday smoothing to creating a stretched and polished base for subsequent styling.

The Airsmooth also features intelligent heat control that measures temperature 100 times per second. This is designed to help maintain controlled heat during styling while supporting the integrity of natural curl patterns and different hair textures.

Designed with portability in mind, the machine has a lightweight and ergonomic form and features universal voltage. It is intended for use across different hair lengths and can be used for everyday styling, post workout routines or travel.

The launch adds another device to Dyson’s growing portfolio of hair care technology. Since introducing the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer in 2016, the company has continued to develop products focused on airflow, heat control and hair science. The Dyson Airwrap followed in 2018, using airflow to create styles, while subsequent products included the Bluetooth connected Airwrap i.d., the wet to dry Dyson Airstrait and the Airwrap Co-anda 2x, which offers twice the air pressure and six in one styling functionality.

The Dyson Airsmooth can also be paired with the Dyson Omega leave in conditioning spray. The product contains seven omega rich oils, including sunflower oil harvested from Dyson’s farms in Lincolnshire. It is formulated as an eight in one treatment designed to nourish, detangle, smooth, reduce frizz, protect against heat and UV damage, minimise breakage and moisturise hair.

In Singapore, the Dyson Airsmooth is available from 8 September 2026 at all Dyson Stores and through Dyson website. It is priced at S$329. https://alvinology.com/2026/09/05/dyson-unveils-new-generation-of-intelligent-machines-across-oral-care-floorcare-air-purification-and-hair-styling/
