Founded in Ebisu, Tokyo in 2005, Yamamoto’s Hamburg is the first restaurant concept created by Shohei Yamamoto, who is also behind Hikiniku To Come, the hamburg steak restaurant that opened its first Singapore outlet on 30 May 2026.

Yamahan is inspired by Yamamoto’s childhood memories of homemade meals prepared by his mother using carefully selected ingredients. The concept aims to recreate the comfort and warmth of a home cooked meal through freshly prepared food and hospitality.

The restaurant’s philosophy is built around four key elements: meat, vegetables, rice and people. This includes carefully selected ingredients, handmade hamburg patties, Japanese rice chosen to complement the meat, and house made vegetable juice prepared from a seasonal blend of fresh fruits and vegetables.

At the centre of the menu is the signature Yamamoto Hamburg, priced at S$19.90. The hand formed beef patty is blended with pork and stuffed with Gorgonzola cheese and mushroom cream sauce, before being finished with a rich demi-glace infused with miso and dashi.

Other hamburg options include the Jikasei Hamburg at S$17.90 and the Kimchi Cheese Hamburg at S$19.90, which is served hot pot style and simmered in kimchi broth with melted cheese.

Diners can also choose lighter options such as the Goma Yuzu Ponzu and Oni Oroshi Ponzu hamburgs, both priced at S$15.90. Other variations include hamburgs served with tomato sauce, garlic yuzu pepper sauce, or karashi mayonnaise and cheese.

For its Singapore debut, Yamahan has also created a new chicken patty exclusively for the local outlet. Made fresh in house, the Singapore exclusive option gives diners another way to enjoy the restaurant’s signature hamburg concept.

The restaurant’s focus on fresh ingredients also extends to its house made vegetable juice. Prepared daily using a seasonal selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, the juice forms part of Yamahan’s pre meal ritual. The day’s fruits and vegetables are displayed in a basket alongside the juice.

Every Rice Set at S$3.90 or Salad Set at S$4.90 comes with a complimentary tasting portion of Yamahan’s house made vegetable juice. The sets can be upsized for an additional S$2.50.

For sharing, the menu includes Signature Yamahan Salad at S$5.90, Anchovy Butter Potatoes at S$4.90, Rustic Pork Sausages at S$7.90, French Fries at S$4.90 and Karaage priced at S$3.90 for three pieces or S$4.90 for five pieces.

To celebrate the Singapore opening, Yamahan will also run a special giveaway from 5 to 7 October 2026. The first 300 redemptions each day will receive a complimentary pack of five exclusive Yamahan stickers with a minimum spend of S$20, excluding GST and service charge.

The sticker pack features five designs inspired by Yamahan and its location in Singapore’s Central Business District, offering diners a small souvenir from the restaurant’s local debut.

The Lau Pa Sat opening marks Yamahan’s latest expansion outside Japan, following its two restaurants in Hong Kong. Located within one of Singapore’s best known historic food destinations, the new outlet brings Yamahan’s interpretation of Japanese comfort food into a setting known for its mix of local and international dining options.

Yamamoto’s Hamburg will begin its soft launch at Lau Pa Sat on 22 September 2026, with its official Grand Opening scheduled for 5 October 2026. https://alvinology.com/2026/09/16/torikizoku-opens-two-new-singapore-outlets-including-its-first-ever-global-kiosk-concept/
