German indie pop duo Milky Chance will make their long-awaited Asian debut at the Singapore Grand Prix on 9 October 2026, performing at Zone 4 Downtown alongside international acts including The Killers, Lana Del Rey and Zara Larsson.
The appearance marks an important milestone for childhood friends Clemens Rehbein and Phillipp Dausch, who have built a global following since breaking through with their 2013 hit “Stolen Dance”. The Singapore performance will also serve as a platform for the duo to expand their presence across the Asia Pacific region.
Milky Chance will spotlight their 2025 single “Camouflage” as the key promotional track for their regional push. The campaign will target audiences across Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong, with the Singapore Grand Prix positioned as a starting point for broader regional activity.
The duo rose to international prominence with “Stolen Dance”, which reached number one in multiple territories and has surpassed 2 billion streams on Spotify and 1 billion views on YouTube. The song continues to reach new audiences, including through a 2025 cover by Dua Lipa.
Milky Chance now have 18 million monthly Spotify listeners, 9 billion career streams and 25 billion TikTok views. Their touring history includes appearances at major festivals and venues such as Coachella, Reading & Leeds, Lollapalooza and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, as well as tours covering more than 65 cities across North America.
Their discography includes the 2014 album “Sadnecessary”, which established their global streaming and touring success, followed by “Blossom” in 2017 and “Mind The Moon” in 2019. Their 2023 album “Living In A Haze”, released through Muggelig Records, has generated more than 600 million streams, supported by tracks including “Colorado”, “Synchronize” and “Living In A Haze”.
The duo has also maintained an independent approach to their music career since going fully independent in 2021. Rehbein has previously described their artistic philosophy as being guided by intuition, curiosity and a sense of discovery, saying that maintaining a sense of naivety has helped them stay creatively engaged.
The Singapore Grand Prix appearance is expected to help Milky Chance establish connections and build awareness ahead of potential touring and festival opportunities across Asia in 2027 and beyond. With international music fans often travelling between Southeast Asian and East Asian markets for major live events, the Singapore performance provides an opportunity for the duo to reach audiences from multiple territories at the same time.
